  • Perfect besides it has a lot of bugs

Logic is so easy to understand, it comes with good sounds, and the layout looks good, but it crashes and freezes in certain situations like when you switch tools to fast, it freezes, and when you use speed FX on an audio file it crashes (unless you turn on Flex Pitch first). I still prefer it over other DAWs, but these little things definitely bring the experience down.

Great software for music production overall. User interface is first class. Quality of certain instruments can be improved. Some effects are outdated even in LP11 and it boggles me how there is still no auto-save. Logic Pro is a great example of a good software though.
  • Inconveniently Glitchy

Latest update causes LPX to crash, and not open anymore. Literally have to delete the app, and Reinstall on a DAILY BASIS. For being an apple native product, it’s incredibly unreliable.

i have used logic pro for 4 years now. I am at a point to where i am now producing music and publishing it on youtube "James - My Escape". I even have saved sounds from when my sister was still with us. I was trippen on mushrooms and went to her room and we were laughing at all the sound FX because they sounded funny. Logic Pro is definitely something i will never give up and im glad i still have those sounds saved. i want to eventually alter it and change it into a instrumental.
  • Once Reliable, Now Forever Buggy

Logic started as a replication of the analog audio environment as one might have encountered in recording studios around the world. Since, they’ve loaded this up with every form and function you can manage. But the underlying architecture remains the same, and wasn’t meant to do all that. And it shows. When it opens, ti does the things it’s always done and does them well. Anything else and all bets are off. If it opens.
  • Very Intuitive and Fluid

As a producer I have worked with most of the advanced recording suites from Cubase to Pro Tools to even the more advanced THX and Dolby Atmos tools usually reserved for deeper pockets for soundtracking film and television. I have to say that Logic Pro is not only equal, but far superior in some simple ways. A lot less paralysis by analysis and more common use pragmatism. The workflow and MIDI low latency is a blessing. It has quickly become the always on platform in my studio. It has streamlined a lot arduous patching and is very plug and play. If you are looking for a master ready tool for comprehensive recording, this will become your goto as well.

This has been a new issue I haven’t been able to avoid. Whenever I move a track up or down, the app crashes or freezes despite me having plenty of RAM and SSD. This makes it completely unusable. Disappointed is an understatement as I’ve been using LPX for years and never had this issue until now.
  • Great but Glitchy and Have to Babysit

I love Logic but…..it’s a pain. Apple doesn’t have it together. I use a MBP with plenty of memory but it’s always something that is glitching and slowing me down. Why do I put up with it? Because I’m used to it. If you have a choice to use something else there are better more stable options out there.
  • The best DAW for writing music on!

I LOVE Logic Pro. With it’s 82 GB sound library, with all the Apple Loops, and about 20 synths, you really don’t need anything else to add to get a great recording!
