anyone who is used to Logic Pro for macOS might as well resign yourself to the fact that you're starting from scratch here. This program is clunky, unintuitive, overly complicated ,glitchy, and unreliable... caused me to lose hours of work when sessions simply disappeared from the cloud. Not worth the six bucks a month I'll be canceling my subscription..

Ok Logic Pro is great I love it but when I first tried it out I thought what is this? I had idea that it was something so like hard to use so I would recommend using a simpler app such as GarageBand first. This helps you get a feel for making music on a simpler platform and then come back after you’ve got the hang of it and try it again you might be surprised how well it will work.

Latest Review - 3/22/25 (A few Seconds later, so weird!) Funny enough, a second after I wrote the review below, they started working. I’m so confused but glad 🤟🏾 Second Review - 3/22/25 Not being able to use Airpods with Logic is really a huge bummer when trying to do quick edits on the road! First Review Logic Pro for iPad is becoming better and better! Apple is really making the iPad Pro more useful. Being able to add our own sample folders was much needed. Now just let us audition the samples simply by moving up/down when using the arrows on Magic Keyboard (please). It makes workflows so much faster. Also, please add some of the shortcuts that are missing to make it quicker to work with, like Logic Pro for Mac. For example, CMD+R can help copy over sections/arrangements much faster. Or a way to add custom shortcuts. For example, in my use case, I used Option+A on Mac to turn Auto Set Locators on/off. Greatly appreciated. QQ👉🏾Is there a reason we can’t use Airpods with Logic Pro?

Because you cannot buy this outright and have to subscribe, even if I were to buy Logic Pro, this deserves less than 1 star. Since I found out my fav DAW Reaper can’t run on iPad, I considered buying Logic, then in the near future a MBP to have a fresh unit to run Reaper swiftly on, but now I am reconsidering if I will even buy a new MBP or switch to android after 15 years on Mac I would of never guessed that Reaper would still now run on an iPad and that the Apple native DAW would be a $ucky $ub$cription. We all know the technology is more than capable and that you could R&D and drop an iPad port of Logic with a 1 time activation license. Please do better Apple. Take a hint from Ableton, Serato and such; the tiers of suites works well and doesn’t hassle and burden creatives with subscriptions. May the Almighty illumine and bless thy way in Love. ❤️💛💚
  • Bugs, no support, no updates

Updated review after several months of use. (I couldn’t keep the original reviews in here, for some reason…) The app has some real bugs, most annoyingly the inability to output audio at the project sample rate. (It just defaults to 44.1 kHz). You also need the desktop app for a lot of tasks, like removing unused tracks so your project size doesn’t grow into multiple gigabytes, for resampling, and more. But what really annoys me is that there’s no response to bug reports, and that there are no updates. This is a subscription based app, so you would expect some care from the product team. No such thing. This app has so much potential and the existing functionality is great (making me hang in there - and the fact that I got a 1-year subscription…). But it does leave a really bad taste and reflects badly on Apple..

I thought everything made on Apple products was free. I didn’t know you had to pay a subscription fee. You makes me really disappointed, but I still like you though. Don’t worry I still like apple it’s just a little subscription not to bad.

  • Useless without all macOS 3rd party plugins. Subscription is dumb

The fact I cannot use 3rd party plugins easily from macOS & this thing still expects a subscription is stupid&dumb. Good luck apple. Becoming money hungry subscription based with these limitations will not work.

Disappointed, I put plugin call Pumphouse and it’s a doesn’t work it all, it just sidechain plugin with pump affect, but every time when I open app it’s crash! What happening I dint understand and plugin doesn’t work really at all after some attempts it never open again, in the Cubasis everything work pretty well… I’m disappointed
