I agree this is one of the best apps available out there, but sad to see the interactive mode, not working at all

The audio player doesn’t allow you to change audio sources and sounds very low like it’s over a phone call.
  • Notes feature…?

It’s pretty hilarious that the mobile release of NOTEbookLM wouldn’t have the NOTEs feature. Like… Wouldn’t you have thought to do that first? Even the AI is secondary to the note taking.
  • Could be great!

I’m only writing a one star review because the App is not as a great as the websites Audio overview. The Audio is way too low and there is a night and day difference between the Website and the App in terms of loudness. It’s also inconvenient paying for Google one and still not being able to adjust the length of the podcast and what to focus on (which I believe is a free feature). It does take too long to generate and loud podcasts but that’s the same on both the website and the app. It’s something I hope gets better with time. As with what I stated before, that is withholding me from using the app to it’s full potential, so I just use the website.

Everything about this app is amazing but there is one thing idk if it’s just my phone but the volume for the podcast is super low I fell like when I put my volume all they way up at high it’s feels like mid volume level and for other apps it’s just fine

It just spins and spins. No audio overviews. The whole point is to give us access.
  • Better for on the go

I really enjoy notebook lm on desktop more than iPhone. I utilize the mind map a lot and I assume because of how much information there can be, you can’t get that on mobile which is fine. It does make it easier to listen to the podcast because I used to have to download it or open it through chrome on my phone. Now I can just go on the app and listen. Not as many tools on the mobile version, but it’s good if you want to listen to the podcast in your commute or on the go. You still have the chat to ask questions and you can upload resources on mobile too. Not bad, but for long study sessions I would probably use my laptop desktop version. On the go or if I need to look at something real quick I’d use the mobile app.
  • Great to have the app…but

Love this app however I feel disappointed and let down that it lacks some key functionality and doesn’t mirror the web app. I only have this 4 stars for this reason but believe a 4.5 would have been better and the web app is 5! Keep shipping the improvements and enhancements dev team!
  • Use the Website Not the App

NotebookLM is a game changer from the Google. I have no idea why the other large language model companies are not getting in on this novel yet powerful concept. However, the mobile app lacks key features available on the web version — notably, the inability to save responses or sync content across devices. That’s why I’m giving it three stars. I recommend adding a direct link to the web version within the app (ideally launching in Chrome), as that’s currently the more stable and full-featured experience. If you encounter a blank screen, try refreshing via the compass icon — it usually resolves the issue by opening a new Chrome tab. Also, why is there no ability to have the responses read to you? This would be extremely convenient while on the go. Lastly, the 500-character prompt limit can be frustrating, and in-chat prompting often causes errors. I’m confident the team is aware of these growing pains, and I look forward to future updates.
  • Not at feature parity with web ui

I find myself going back to the browser-based experience because many key features are missing from the app (like adding Google docs, customizing the prompt for audio overview)
