Pin your most-used devices, automations, and actions to the Favorites tab for easy access right when you open the app. View your Nest cameras and doorbell live feeds, and easily scan through event history. Set up and manage Routines in the Automations tab. And quickly edit any permissions in the consolidated Settings tab. Understand what’s going on at home with a glance. The Google Home app is designed to show you the status of your home and keep you up to date with what you may have missed. Check in on your home anytime and see a recap of recent events. Control your home from anywhere. Turn on the lights, adjust the thermostat, or get an alert when there’s a person or package at your front door. With Google Home for Wear OS, you can control your home right from your compatible smartwatch. A helpful home is a private home. Protecting your privacy starts with one of the world’s most advanced security infrastructures, which we build directly into Google products so they’re secure by default. • Scan events quickly?!

Nope, no they don’t. I hate using this Google home to check who’s at the door, what event happened at any time of the day. It loads and loads. Don’t know how many times I have to close the app and open it again. Even for the time of event just happening it gets stuck! And replays the first second of the video live. And goes back to the beginning. Frustrating! Like what?! It doesn’t work I have to get up and see myself who or what is at my door.. I used to be able to open my Nest app to check but both is not good! Can’t use nest for camera anymore, now just for thermostat. I have to use this Google home app that doesn’t work. Wish I could find something that actually worked. And not pixelated!! Ugh! That’s another complaint. Just Frustrating.

Camera doesnt detect anything now, definitely started with last update, several packages delivered and no alerts received. Checked and my settings are the same as they were before. Updated basically made my doorbell camera useless, will definitely not be purchasing nest products in the future

  • Google home with nest cameras & light commands

First is too much data harvesting and access. I have nest cameras and half the time home fails to show camera feeds properly. Not the Cameras issues or sensors but it’s home app as I’ve deleted home and created new and it works a while then starts over again. Pretty sure its app or account as this happens on android or ios devices. Annoying asking for bluetooth access on ios each time opened. I’m done with Google products period. Invest money in devices to watch either them be discontinued or not supported or no real support unless you subscribe to a plan. No thanks!
  • Connection is terrible

This app works when it wants too. My speaker was connected. Now it won’t connect. It’s not a WiFi signal problem. It’s because it has decided not to take my WiFi password. I just set up a smart tv, so it’s not my password problem. I can’t find the speaker in the Google home app. So I guess I will just buy more Alexa’s. The when you go to help. It’s asks for info. I gave the info and it responded it will send a email solution. No email sent. So it’s a Google crappy service. Remember when you interacted with a human instead of AI.

Extremely difficult to fix any issues with google devices and the app is no different. Save yourself the time and get an Amazon system or something else

I've been using nest cameras for years – I had no idea how great the interface was until Google moved the playback to Google Home The image quality, the responsiveness, the fluidity, and the overall ease-of-use are the worst I've ever seen in any Google product. Bring back Nest's professional high resolution cameras, and their very fluid reliable intuitive interface. Dump this mess.
