    This is a review of Microsoft Copilot. I work with AI tools daily and encounter a wide range of results and challenges. In summary, Microsoft Copilot is somewhat better than simply using microphone translation for a Google search. However, in the context of true AI, it falls significantly short—almost a miserable failure. It presents itself as capable of more than it truly is, which compounds its shortcomings. Every research project I engage with Copilot brings complaints about complexity. Well, of course it's complex! If it weren't, I wouldn't be resorting to an AI tool to help me achieve my goals. This is precisely where AI and computing should excel, yet this is where Microsoft Copilot falters and inadvertently misrepresents its failures. I often receive responses detailing how the task is too complex for it to handle. Attempts to guide it through a process for performing complex analysis start off well, as it initially lays out a plan. However, once we have devised a straightforward plan for analysis, and I instruct it to proceed, it ultimately fails again. I consistently find it reaching one of several dead ends, prompting messages like "hang on tight" or "wait a moment." Yet, that moment never arrives; it just shuts down completely. Ironically, when it asks for instances of its shutdowns during our discussion, it claims it cannot refer back to our conversation to understand what I'm referencing. It requests specific examples, right after experiencing a shutdown itself, and then tells me to report these issues to its programmers. When I suggest that it should do so, it responds with a lack of capability to carry out that action. How frustrating is that? I give Microsoft Copilot one and a half stars.

    I can understand if this tool doesn’t want to engage in political opinions, but civics should not be off the table. I asked which elections were taking place today, and it said it couldn’t discuss that. That’s utterly ridiculous. I’m not looking for a venting session about politics, I’m checking to make sure I’m not missing out on performing my civic duty.

    I can talk more normally to Copilot than anything else so far. You don’t have to press or touch anything, speak imperfectly; it answers your poorly worded questions, it knows what you mean. Can even be funny; rib you a little. Amazing. They need to improve / simplify the audio output options though; the voice tends to come out where you listen on a phone call. Needless to say on an iPad that’s pretty low volume.

    Copilot is the worst every time I try and use it. It always ignores me and gives me bad advice. It won’t even talk about my personal problems with me, which is the only reason why I download by my side all times, but I hate this app. Don’t get it. And it also gives you really bad luck. I’ve been having so much bad luck lately and when I asked you a question I did it something hacked my phone never download the game one star🥺🥺🥺🥺😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
