Description

AT&T Enhanced PTT & FirstNet Rapid Response To make your migration easy, we have made sure that FirstNet Rapid Response works with the existing AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk app, which is FirstNet Ready®. You’ll benefit from the MCPTT performance and features, with no need to download an additional application to your device. So there’s no learning curve. It’s time to enhance your PTT service with AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk. We’ve combined the best of both worlds. Enjoy the ability to communicate one-to-one or one-to-many just like a radio, while appreciating the convenience of a mobile phone. Track and share your location, establish geo-fences, send and receive highly secure messages including PDFs, pictures, and video, communicate with Land Mobile Radios, and take advantage of features based on 3GPP MCPTT standards, all powered by America’s best network*. New 3GPP MCPTT based features allow authorized users to place emergency calls and alerts, remotely disable and enable AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk and more. We also give you the option to choose from two intuitive user interfaces (UIs), basic or land mobile radio (LMR). Our basic UI is designed for all users and features. The LMR UI is designed for users migrating from two-way radios and mirrors the operation of a traditional two-way radio with pre-defined talkgroups and an all-in-one interface. To provide an optimal user experience, AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk is certified on a wide portfolio of devices, including both rugged and non-rugged smartphones, tablets and specialized devices. For more information and for a complete list of supported devices, visit www.att.com/epttdevices. AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk is available for a monthly subscription fee and includes seamless coverage across the U.S., Canada and Mexico without incurring mobile data roaming charges. International roaming outside North America is available as well and requires an international data plan. *Based on GWS OneScore Sept. 2018

  • Even app support errors out.

Can’t even access the app support on the application page. No responses to complaints by developers shows lack of effort to fix issues, not acceptable for a service billed as a solution for first responders.

This does not work with iPhone Pro Max. Spoke with my FirstNet rep and they say hopefully by the end of year. Not very useful for a first responder.
  • Trash

New version is trash compared to the 8.3.0.20 version. The contacts are in list form in your favorites now instead of a “grid” style. Makes it a lot harder to have to constantly scroll down a list to find a contact. With the grid view you could easily see 12 contacts at a time. Bring this back or at least make it an option to make it that way
  • App is now unusable

After the recent update, this app no longer can receive calls made from talk group channels with integrated dispatch users. This app is unreliable at best, and I pity the agencies that rely on this for emergency communications.

  • Apple watch support

Looking for Apple watch support as often the app may not open fast due to lock screen. Also looking for the option that is currently listed in Android phones to dedicate a volume button to act as the PTT button. Where is support for IOS 13 and the latest iPhone???? The app support page lists that it is compatible with my phone but ATT says not compatible with Pro Max. Sending out wrong info.

I upgraded to an iPhone 11. EPTT app shows the service has been suspended. I called tech support, they passed me to “advanced” support only to notify me that it is not supported on the new iPhone 11.
  • A mess

App is a mess. Can’t unlock your screen before you’ve missed a call. Unable to see who’s calling with the screen locked. No ability to shortcut from the lock screen to the app. Unable to clear missed notification badges (also unable to find where the badge is actually coming from.) I’d wish I could tell you to save your money and convert to a dedicated PTT device, but the Sonim devices offered by ATT are so cumbersome, and unreliable they make the whole experience not worth it. All the problems that exist on this app, exist in those devices. As well as a bevy of software bugs that make them little more than ballast for you to lug around.
