Was pretty good at blocking calls. I have private callers set to block in the app but they keep getting through. Need to adjust their algorithms to catch more scammers and robocalls. Won’t let me block texts from emails either.

I’m not sure if this a bogus app or not but what I do know is immediately after I installed it my junk email escalated. I got about 5 times more junk emails today than I usually get. I have now deleted the app.

I like the app, I wish I understood how the VPN worked, but they don’t give you much detail or settings to adjust in that sense. My phone is still vulnerable and I believe still being accessed even with this app , seems to be some sort of perk we got for being victims to certain companies breaches. 10 Breaches in total, my information been exist and posted on the dark web! Fun. It’s nice that it’s free due to the breaches, your customer service department is either compromised, or by design you like us to get stuck in the cycle of calling the make a payment line,or file a ticket line, with employees, claiming that there is no ability to transfer to the fraud department and multiple calls, not until about three minutes before the fraud department closes. They would release the number to me. I’m hardly thrilled with what’s happening I’ve contacted global fraud department twice now left voicemails and still have not gotten a callback since they close at four eastern time or something crazy meaning on the West Coast I have to call them at like one or earlier I was told on the voicemail of the global front department that it would be 24 to 48 hours they would contact me that was four days ago The Chatbot AI is about as irritating as it comes Literally, it is a carbon copy of help and resources catalog you guys have and if it recommends for me to hit the voice button on my 1998 Motorola like flip phone again in order to contact the live agent that I missed due to the app, constantly refreshing back to the homepage in the midst of a conversation to To deal with a serious breach in my devices, security or my cell service is being compromised… It’s ridiculous and did not get a call back For any of the stuff I’ve mentioned or left voicemails for or talk to the folks at the initial AT&T routing number. Clearly, they’re trying to get you to make some sort of payment of some sort and anything outside of that hopefully someone gets back to you and I’ve even had I have. I have a transcript. A transcript of the conversation between me and like three different employees, these call centers are in the Philippines, one in India, None of them sound like professional or official or legitimate AT&T call centers that you would trust for the sake of cyber security I am calling to try to figure out what’s going on with all my accounts being breached, and by AT&T account being modified and I quite literally can hear about 50 foreign individuals yelling like it’s some sort of auction house. All of them want you to verify some sort of personal information, with no ability to verify them as individuals that work for the company no contact key verifications or otherwise. Irregularities my call logs being brought up to these individuals multiple and or otherwise multiple occasions multiple people and multiple times they had nothing good to say because they weren’t the right people, and apparently the department for fraud and security seem to be so extremely hard to reach that it’s quite literally a circle of conversation calls back from the AI robot that is made out of stick and glue and a 20 page pamphlet on at&t online help resources. Extremely dated references to contacting a fraud employee thinking I want to learn how to use the voice activation option like saying, hit the voice call button and then say “call Steve warnell” no I was trying to talk to Steve’s live agent that came on the chat and was really interrupted by the fact that the app wanted to redirect me to the home homepage again which happens most all the time when you hit the security preference button, when you try to look at your call logs when you try to look at them. By the way, the initial number the 531 number. None of those employees have anything of used to tell you they just want to know your phone number and your name, then they wanna tell you they’re from the billing department or they wanna know if you wanna make a payment the him and haw and they say oh let me see and then they say well I can write a ticket for you or try to get you the right person so then I sent it to someone else and that person doesn’t help either because they’re not the right person either because the fraud department apparently is closed and they have a completely different number or contact information Not to mention the lack of security and the fact that you have to input so much information online and you cannot speak to anybody In your country of origin , which inherently isn’t a problem, yet I travel the world for work and I just have a really hard time understanding that I’m calling the Philippines or India to talk about my cyber security with some specialist there that clearly has their own motives isn’t to help me with the cyber security offered by AT&T due to the breaches and the offer extended to us as a free of charge amenity from the company that was responsible. If there is a fraud department? I don’t believe that they’re doing a very good job. I don’t even believe they quite exist at this moment. I’ve got multiple calls going from wireless Wi-Fi and back to wireless within the same minute at the same time outward calls and then inward calls. How can you have a Colin Wi-Fi and on the network at the same time and it be two of the same calls in the same minute in different locations? And how can there be no buddy who seems to really draw some concern to this involving the tickets I’ve created?? It’s kind of ridiculous. There’s not like a person you can talk to that sounds like you can trust them because they barely even know what they’re doing. Outsourcing to all these countries is great for you guys, but you’re not installing any sort of trust in the American people and this has nothing to do with nationality and has everything to do with if you’ve spent any time in the country like the Philippines or India you would understand that if you’re concerned about cyber security?? Those countries are far less secure at the basic level

This has been extremely helpful and useful due to all the scams and attempts at hacks out there. I’m grateful for all that this app has done for me and my family.
  • Callers not in my contacts

My wife mentioned that she always goes straight to voicemail when she tries to call me. Turns out, it was because of ActiveArmor. I had updated her last name on my contacts two days ago, but ActiveArmor kept sending calls to voicemail because of the updated name on the contacts list. I disabled the feature and reloaded my contacts, and voila! The problem was fixed.
  • How did they manage to make it worse?

The UVerse app has always been pretty average and it was slow as molasses. The most recent major update (maybe 6 months to a year ago) is unbearable. It’s faster, but the guide doesn’t include all the channels and the Recordings page is so poorly designed that it’s almost unusable.

Think there is some bugs from new AI programs in wi-fi having problems not feeling secure on online since 18.2
  • There is a persistent bug

I have been using Active Armor for a few years. It DOES help weed through some nuisance calls and texts, though it was letting political texts through a LOT before the election. There has been a bug that just seems to be getting worse. It used to be when Active Armor filtered a call, it would register 3 calls at the exact same time on the record. Now it registers (and gives a banner notification for each) of the 7 times it records the number in the log. It’s nothing awful. Its just an annoying bug that I cannot find a way to report on the website. I have deleted restarted, reinstalled, all the things. No change.
