  • Hands down, the worst streaming app

This is without a doubt, the worst streaming app available. Even with a paid subscription, the amount of ads is atrocious, not to mention they are the same ads that play every single time. If you need to rewind the show five seconds, and you just passed an ad, guess what, you’re gonna get another minute and a half of ads even though you already just got through a minute and a half of ads.If for whatever reason the app glitches out or closes down or you lose your place within an episode and you need to scrub back through the episode to see where you were, guess what, it’s going to make you watch a set of ads every time you cross a portion of the episode. The app is beyond clunky, the monetization in this app is awful.

In my opinion, probably the best streaming service. It has so many choices in movies and shows. The ads are super short compared to other apps.

The only thing I don’t like about prime is the fact that when you pause a movie that you’ve been currently watching, when you want to continue watching it, all of a sudden it’s no longer free and you have the option to rent or buy.
  • Please fix

For as long as I’ve had this app (which is years), it’s had a problem loading content. Maybe the first selection or two of movies will load, and then just the title of the rest of the videos will load.or not load. Why is this?! Hulu doesn’t have this problem ~ maybe call them and ask for help.

march 31st: still broken. march 20th: something is broken, it won't open in split view, please fix 🙏 *just discovered it is even more broken, I deleted the app so I could just use the normal website, but something is broken with the website also, whenever you press play it goes to some weird "mobile" version of the site no matter how many times you request the normal site. Please fix at least one or the other 🙏🙏🙏
  • “Editor’s Choice”? This App Fails Vision Pro Users

Smooth Interface, But Superficial Excellence I’ll start with the one positive: Amazon Prime Video’s Vision Pro app is polished on the surface. Navigating the interface is smooth and intuitive, and I haven’t encountered any crashes or obvious bugs. Menus load quickly, video playback starts without hiccups, and the basic functions all work reliably. In terms of stability and UI design, it feels like a high-quality app. However, that slick veneer only goes so far – because no amount of menu polish can make up for what’s missing under the hood. No HDR, No Atmos, Only HD Unfortunately, the core video experience is shockingly underwhelming. Despite using a device as advanced as the Vision Pro (and paying for a premium Prime Video subscription with ultra-high-definition content), the app won’t deliver anything beyond basic HD. Here’s what I and many others have found: • No HDR (High Dynamic Range): Forget about vibrant highlights and deep blacks – the app never engages HDR, utterly wasting Vision Pro’s stunning display capabilities. • No Dolby Atmos or Spatial Audio: The audio tops out at plain 5.1 at best (often just stereo). Dolby Atmos and any form of spatial surround sound are completely absent, even though the Vision Pro’s audio pods fully support it. • Resolution Capped at 1080p: Even on a gigabit internet connection, with content that should stream in 4K Ultra HD (and does so on my Apple TV 4K), the Prime Video app on Vision Pro only plays in 1080p. The status/info bar during playback confirms an “HD” label when it should say “UHD”. It’s as if I’m watching a DVD on a cutting-edge headset capable of far more. These limitations are not due to my setup – I have the bandwidth and I’m paying extra for higher video quality where available. The bottleneck is entirely the app itself. 👉 Amazon: It’s time to stop intentionally limiting your app. Give us an update that unlocks 4K, HDR, and Atmos on Vision Pro – the same way you do on an Apple TV or other platforms. Don’t make your loyal customers feel like second-class viewers on a first-class device. 👉 App Store Editorial Team: Please hold apps to higher standards before crowning them “favorites” for Vision Pro. If an app isn’t taking full advantage of what the headset can do, it shouldn’t be highlighted as a showcase experience. By demanding better, you encourage developers to actually deliver better. Bottom line: Amazon Prime Video might be an Editor’s Choice on Vision Pro, but it certainly isn’t a user’s choice in its current state. Until Amazon seriously improves the app’s playback quality, this remains a one-star experience from a underwhelmed Vision Pro owner.
  • Because Bezos needs more money

I mean why should we care that we are already paying a subscription fee to watch and then have to see ads upon ads every ten minutes? Its not like our time is as precious as Mr. Bezos. If he wants to make even more money off of us by stealing our time with ads who are we minuscule working class folk to say otherwise to stop him?
