Read comfortably day and night with adjustable brightness and background colors. Go to the Aa menu in your book to get started. • Look up words, people, and places while you read. Simply tap and hold a word to view its definition, or use the Google and Wikipedia links to get more information. • Track your reading progress. See what percent of the book you’ve read, real page numbers (for most top titles), and how much time you have left in the chapter or book based on your actual reading speed. • Bookmark places you want to revisit, and make highlights and take notes throughout your book. Open My Notebook to see all your notes in the same place. • Hop, skim, and jump with Page Flip. Flip between pages or get a bird’s-eye view of your book with Page Flip—don’t worry, we’ll save your place. • Zoom in on high-definition color images in Kindle books, magazines, comics, and manga. • Sync your books across devices. When you’re reading a book, the Kindle app will automatically sync where you left off—along with any bookmarks, highlights, or notes—so you can start reading on one device and pick up where you left off on another. • When you can’t read, listen. Switch seamlessly from reading your Kindle book to listening to the Audible book, all within the Kindle app. • Get notified when authors you love have new releases. It’s 2025 and I still can’t buy a book through this app.
  • Awesome, minus one minute detail.

I love the kindle app. The only problem, and it’s not much of one, is to track your reading streak it has to always be up to date. I had a streak going of almost a year and I was denied reading for one day because it wasn’t updated to the most recent version. I picked up right where I left off, and knew I had read for the day, however that one hiccup was disheartening.

I don't think the app's 12 , it seems more like 9 , or for anyone who likes to read.

I’ve always had some issues with syncing, but it was going ok until April 1st, and now I can’t get app and Kindle to sync. I read every day, sonsomething should be showing up, but no.. I’ve done all the usual, restarts on both devices, pressing sync on kindle, checked whispersync, still nothing. I’m still getting the Amazon notifications.. of course, but nothing else is working. I liked doing the challenges, but this is frustrating, and I’m frankly sick of it. May just have to give up the kindle app.
  • Good, but I am reading multiple books

I like being able to get to all my books. But I am reading multiple books, magazines, etc. If I am working on a project, it can require multiple sources that I go back and forth with. It would be good if it was possible to have multiple instances of Kindle open on my Mac at once. Or at least some way to tab between the books.

I love my Kindle app. Have had for about 10 years! The convenience of taking my books with me everywhere is what I love most!

The NLT version of the Bible is both easy and beautiful to read - and this version for study is excellent. It has so many wonderful features - the word studies, explanations of most verses, theme notes and character studies, cross references. I use it every day in preparing the classes I teach. This online version is great for quickly jumping from one reference to another - but I also have a paper version on my shelf. I recommend this Bible for personal study and spiritual growth.
