Description

The Amazon Shopper Panel is an opt-in, invitation-only program where participants can earn monthly rewards by sharing receipts from purchases made outside of Amazon or completing short surveys about your opinion on brands or products that may be of interest to you. Earning rewards is easy. Simply upload eligible receipts by using the Amazon Shopper Panel app to take pictures of paper receipts or by forwarding email receipts to [email protected] and you’ll earn up to $10 per month towards either an Amazon Balance or a charitable donation. You’ll earn rewards each month for every survey you complete and if you turn on ad verification on your mobile device you'll receive more, relevant surveys each month based on the ads you see from Amazon. Ads from Amazon can include Amazon’s own advertising or third-party businesses that advertise through Amazon Ads. Space is limited and you may only be eligible to participate in certain parts of the program. You can check if you are eligible by tapping on the Receipts or Surveys tabs, or by visiting Ad verification in the panel app's settings. Your participation will help brands offer better products and make Amazon ads more relevant. Participation in the Amazon Shopper Panel is voluntary and panelists can stop using the app, sharing receipts, answering survey questions, or enabling ad verification at any time. The Amazon Shopper Panel is available to a limited number of Amazon customers in the US. If you received an invitation, download the app now. Interested customers who did not receive an invitation can download the app to join the waitlist and will be notified via email if space becomes available. They used to give $1 per receipt. Now the changed everything and half of the receipt are not eligible and the ones that are eligible they take your data for .10¢… not worth it anymore.

Not sure why Amazon decided to reject basic every day receipts such as food gas clothing. Bring it back!
  • Earring $10 a month is not as easy as it used to be to be.

Now each receipt has a value based on the store type. Makes it harder to rack up $10 a month in rewards. Why are gas receipts not included in earning rewards?
  • Amazon cheats on categories

A few months ago, Amazon restructured their receipt reporting program into merchant categories, where you earn either $0.15, $0.25, or $1.00 per receipt provided, up to $10.00 per month total earnings. Hardware, Electronics, and clothing stores are among the merchant receipt categories that are supposed to receive $1.00. Recently, I uploaded a clothing store receipt and instead of the correct $1.00 reward, I was only given $0.15. There is a process to request a review in case of errors like this, and I used it. And the next day, they came back and stood by their original classification. And once your purchase is reviewed, it cannot be challenged again, even if the decision was incorrect. So I spent 20 minutes tying up a human CSR on this, who then compensated me for more than the original $0.85 error. When this program first started, it was a great way to earn rewards for charity or a few $ for yourself if you choose, but now it’s becoming more and more difficult to use. If Amazon is unhappy with what it’s costing, they should just kill it instead of nickel and diming you.
  • Recent update made it barely worth using

I have been using this app for probably about two years. You used to be able to get $10 by submitting 10 receipts- $1 per receipt. After a recent update they’ve changed it to where you’re lucky to get 15¢ per receipt. That’s IF they even accept the receipt you submit. I’ve had way more denied receipts since the update than I ever got before. So not only do you now need an absolutely absurd amount of receipts to get anything substantial, you also have to deal with a higher percentage of them getting denied. I’ve been considering just uninstalling the app entirely because ever since the update the most rewards in a month I’ve gotten is $4. It just isn’t worth the frustration anymore. Last year I was able to save up enough money from this app to buy multiple Christmas presents for family with it. I currently have $4.35 in my account from this app and that’s after saving it up for literally 2-3 months. Feels like a scam now. I wish they’d change it back to the way it was but I know they never will.
