I just want to read the digital newspaper like the old app. This app tries to do too much and does all of it poorly

Very little national or international news. Mostly local news. Depth and quality were an early issue but are improving. The app links to USA today, where one will find national or world news handled in the USA today fashion. I am not finding that part too rewarding and am seeking national and world news from other sources. The sports coverage is good. I like the layout, function and speed of the app. Opinion written by professional journalists has been dwindling for years and has taken yet another hit in this app.
  • The new format is disappointing

I loved scrolling the feed in the print form. No longer can and this fricking new app is frustrating at best. Go back to the print form PLEASE
  • Privacy Info not changeable

Forced into this app, but can’t change privacy info regarding data tracking/collection. Instead of a simple toggle the app requests even more data. What a joke
  • My iPad 2 cannot open the e newspaper with the new ap

Doesn't show pictures properly (for example, none show on real estate articles about houses sold) and app is full of trashy ads

Enjoy reading local articles. Articles well written.
  • Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (MJS) is like family

Our neighborhood BookClub recently completed a book, This Tender Land by author William Kent Krueger, which received a thumbs up from all 10+ members. This entertaining and sometimes heart-wrenching book spun tales that incorporated facts of its time, and in the ending, wrapped up characters together in a satisfying way, as does the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Like the main character, Odie (short for Odysseus) MJS is the narrator of our local family stories; MJS scribes events and our journey-sometimes joyful, tender, but bitter too—offering to teach, enrich, share sorrow-a touchstone of the familiar. As we collectively long for the days when everything was local and familiar, times change; life has become bigger, broader and more global. Despite the new distance, I for one am appreciative of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinels ability to write stories that provide a sense of home-like a friend. Like family.

I cannot opt out of targeted advertising. When clicking on options nothing works!
  • Love the Left

If you’re a hard-core leftist you will love this paper. If you’re not, go somewhere else or just read the sports and comics, like I do. Objectivity in journalism is dead.
