Devs did it again! Still the best console quality mobile racing game and it's not even close. Been playing on an old iphone 12 max pro with xbox controller, and it performs remarkably well for how old my phone is. The actors/characters are a little cringe, hard skip, luckily it doesn't change the fact that the gameplay is top notch, and respects the way I have traditionally loved gaming. There's no other racing game out there like this for your phone 10/10
  • Great game

This game is great and the gameplay and the gaming experience are just amazing. I don’t think there is a game at the App Store at the moment that we can compare to it. I wanna be able to save the replay to my camera roll so that way I can share them to my social medias. However, I don’t like the fact that when you finish a race they take more than the half of the money that you win on the race, I made 11k on a race and the cost of the race was 7k that’s just not bueno. I hope you guys fix that. We don’t like that. Other than that the game it’s amazing.
  • GRID Legends on iOS – A Mind-Blowing Achievement

It’s nothing short of remarkable that GRID Legends is now available on iOS, running beautifully on devices as far back as the iPhone 12 Pro. Feral Interactive, the masters of mobile and macOS ports, have outdone themselves yet again, bringing this console-quality racer to life on a mobile platform. Their work, combined with Codemasters’ stellar game design, has delivered a gaming experience that feels almost identical to the PS4 version—an impressive feat in itself. Visually, GRID Legends is jaw-dropping on iOS. The graphics are crisp, the lighting effects are realistic, and the level of detail in the cars and tracks is astonishing. On high-refresh-rate displays, the smooth gameplay becomes even more immersive, rivaling that of dedicated consoles. The physics and driving mechanics are just as satisfying as on the PS4, with every race feeling intense and dynamic. One of the most exciting aspects is the customization of controls. Feral Interactive made sure players could adapt the game to their playstyle, whether through touch controls, gyro steering, or a connected controller. The ability to adjust button layouts, sensitivity, and more ensures that players of all preferences and skill levels can jump in and enjoy the game seamlessly. This release sets a new standard for mobile racing games, proving that console-quality gaming is not only possible but thriving on iOS. It’s a dream come true for racing fans, and Feral Interactive has once again shown why they’re the go-to team for quality ports. Suggestion: After experiencing the brilliance of GRID Legends on mobile, it would be amazing if Feral Interactive and Codemasters turned their attention to the DiRT series next. The off-road thrills of DiRT would make for a fantastic addition to the mobile gaming scene. Here’s hoping we see it in the future!

  • Comparison to Grid Autosport

Compared to Grid Autosport (Autosport), another racing game from this same developer, Grid Legends (Legends) is a huge step backwards. The most jarring change between the games is the graphics. Autosport felt quite immersive; driving around a track feels real, the surroundings are clear and in focus, and the cars look great. Legends, however, feels like I’m playing a cheap arcade game, and truthfully, for a price of $15, more was to be expected. For other mobile racing games, my preferred method of steering is always to use a steering wheel; Legends, however, has not included a steering wheel as an option for controlling the car (this was a steering method available in Autosport). I cannot comment on the other methods of car control (arrow touch and phone tilt) because I personally do not use them. If either of the other two methods are your preferred control, I do not intend for this part of the review to apply. The closest steering method to the wheel available is a virtual joystick, with a 360 degree input. Again, this feature makes it feel like a cheap arcade game. I do not understand why I would ever need to steer the car “up” or “down,”when steering is intended to direct the car left or right, and would work just fine comparatively. Furthermore, Autosport, while not perfect in its realism, feels more realistic in the car’s driving mechanics. For example, with traction control set to off and stationary, full throttle would cause the car to spin, allowing for a quick turn in the proper direction after a spin out. In Legends, even with traction control and stability control set to off, spinning the car is difficult to accomplish. Adding on to the lack of realism in this game and the “arcade-y” feel, the lack of many real world tracks removes much from the immersion. Again, compared to Autosport which included a mix of real world tracks like Spa, Silverstone, and Donnington Park, with fictional circuits, Legends tips heavily in the favor of fictional circuits. I purchased this game because I am a huge fan of Autosport, and it seemed like Legends would be a happy update to an already great base, but this game is very disappointing. I love the addition of a career mode, but it is not enough to make this game as enjoyable as other mobile racing games.
  • a silly arcade game, no longer a racing sim

i remember when The original Grid for ios came out and i spoke with customer support concerned the game was way more underivable than real racing 3 and they said "yes because Grid is a racing simulator, not a arcade game" and eventually i grew to enjoy its more realistic racing aspect, but now in Grid Legends they chucked that and went for a total arcade game afterall. Gone are many choices of cars, circuits, the qualifying races, race day and points to win the series, now you just win gold and have to buy cars like real racing 3. big disappointment. also the whole concept of a dramatic story is not necessary.
