Purchased this a long while back and never had the chance to play it. Been playing for the past few days and so far, the campaign seems fine. Havent ran into any bugs or glitches in the story mode. If I run into anything later on, I'll update this review. Overall very fun and reminds me of playing DoW 1.

There is a bug on mission 9 which will not let you complete if you save the game and go back! Can’t even finish the game! I want my money back!
  • Buggy to the point of unplayability

Game locks up after most missions (which requires a restart) and level 9 has a bug where you can’t always finish it. Multiplayer doesn’t seem to work either. It is fun, if a little tedious, when it works.

  • It’s good, but Dawn of War 2 is better

I have a friend who is a big fan of the Diablo series, and he has said that Diablo 2 is much better than Diablo 3. I must say that this game is to the Dawn of War series what Diablo 3 is to that series. This isn’t to say that this game is bad, but it’s not as good as Dawn of War 2. Unlike Dawn of War 2 where you capture reinforcement points and collect resources, in this game you have to build a base where you can recruit troops as well as build resource collectors. It also doesn’t have the equipment collection that Dawn of War 2 has, which is a little disappointing. Plus you change races every mission, you don’t get to choose one faction and play through the whole game as it. However, the combat is still just as good as it was in Dawn of War 2, and it has something that its predecessor doesn’t, offline skirmish mode. Though it is worth noting that you pretty much have to play online because your heroes (elite units in this game) don’t gain experience in offline mode. Overall, this is enjoyable, but hardcore Dawn of War fans will likely be disappointed.
