  • Solid Library Broken Verification System

At this point it feels that every other time I log into the app it requires me to reaffirm my subscription. When I do so, it first loses track of all of what I was currently reading defaults to sometime approximately two years ago. I am then required to log out to yet again log back in. Perhaps it is something to do with Apple’s money grab for the 30% (which prompted me the subscribe straight through Marvel/Disney) but I am nevertheless resolved to cancel my annual subscription. This is a known and escalating annoyance. The mega corporations need to figure it out between themselves. It was great for catching up on the new stories when I ran out of newer X-men graphic novels at the library. I even found my self reading the gimmicky infinite comics when pulling my phone out in “hurry up and wait” situations. That said, for the price you deserve a functional app to utilize the service.
  • Bad Formatting

Just brought home a new 11” iPad to read beautiful comics on without having to read panel to panel. But MU in their infinite wisdom leave a half inch at top and bottom of page. Your Distinguished Competition has no problem formatting correctly! You have basically made the entire reason I bought a bigger iPad absolutely moot. Please do better.
  • Good, needs custom reading lists and history changes

I love that marvel unlimited is available with sooooo many titles to look through, however, it is lacking some basic features that would greatly improve the reading and organization experience. You cannot sort runs or single issues into custom reading lists which makes reading things like x men in the 90s very difficult due to needing to jump between issues. This is a feature that fans have been requesting of this app for over a decade now, and having been and on and off subscriber for that long, it feels like a failure on behalf of the app developers. Additionally, the reading history only catalogs issues you are currently reading and not ones that you have finished, I would like to scroll back through and also see runs and issues that I have finished without having to go to the specific run page. Quality of life features like this would make unlimited stand out better among other comic subscription apps, as it is it feels as if Marvel does not care enough about comic fans to implement such basic features.
  • Missing Two Key Features

Love having access to so much content, and the reader works well. However, it desperately needs two fixes: 1. If I begin reading a character’s series, currently the app abandons that character’s story after the first issue and instead continues with the next issue under that title. 2. I have not found a way to browse issues within a series. For example, if Smilin’ Stan reminds me of something that happened in an earlier issue, I’d like to be able to browse issues and jump to a specific one, just like with TV series in any streaming app.

Love that there are so many issues and stories right at my fingertips. Hate that twice now I have saved issues and followed multiple storylines to my library and twice the app has signed out and did not save anything. Hard to use the app as intended when the app doesn’t work as intended.

I really love having so many marvel comics in one place and being able to read thousands of back issues. My only small complaint is that it’s missing collected omnibuses and volumes. The DC Infinite app collects stories by volumes and omnibuses, which just makes for a much smoother reading experience if you need to catch up on full story arcs. Please consider adding this feature in the future.

I typically don’t read much of anything. But when I saw an ad for this app, I fell in love instantly. I also love that you guys have such a huge collection to choose from. Been using this for a couple of months! Don’t think I’ll stop until I’ve read them all.
  • Awful app

One of the buggiest apps I’ve ever used, let alone paid for. It regularly resets my progress to a state months previous so I have no idea where I left off. It’s also very difficult to find anything. The search is shockingly bad at giving you results related to what you searched for. Offline mode is possibly the worst. I’ve downloaded comics several times before getting on planes, and I’ve been able to read them maybe once. Every other time it fails to even load the page that has what I’ve downloaded.
  • Great app but….

I really like the app. It works great and the selection of comics is amazing. But it constantly logs me out. At least once a day, it logs me out (sometimes in the middle of a comic) and I have to exit the app, log back in, and then I can resume. It’s quite annoying. Other than that, no other issues.
