  • UX needs improvement

I recently planned a family trip to Disneyland Resort and wanted to share some thoughts on the experience, particularly regarding the ticket purchasing process and customer service interactions. When booking our tickets, I encountered some challenges that highlighted areas where Disneyland could enhance the guest experience: 1. Refund Policy Visibility: The current refund policy states that tickets are nonrefundable unless canceled by Disney. However, this information wasn’t prominently displayed during the checkout process. It would be beneficial for guests if the refund policy were made more visible and clear at the point of purchase. Implementing a mandatory checkbox during checkout, where users must acknowledge and agree to the refund policy before proceeding to payment, could ensure that all guests are fully informed. 2. Event-Related Schedule Changes: Our visit coincided with a special event that affected park hours, which we were only informed about after booking. While Disneyland provides a daily events schedule, it would enhance the booking experience if any event-related schedule changes or early closures were clearly communicated to guests as they select their visit dates. This proactive approach would help guests make informed decisions and plan their visits accordingly. 3. Reservation Modification Process: When attempting to modify our reservations due to the scheduling conflict, we encountered difficulties and received inconsistent guidance from customer service representatives. Clarifying the reservation modification policies and ensuring that all customer service staff provide consistent and accurate information would greatly improve the guest experience.
  • Lightning Lane Pass a No-Go

We paid $30 additional per day each for 4-persons’ for 2-days (additional $240 extra). This pass is nothing like the old “Fast Pass” and proved to be almost useless. The higher demand rides had available “Lightning Pass” times 3, 4 or more hours later than the current time we were there wanting to ride them -ex: it was 2PM & times to use pass on 2 high demand rides were 7:30 and 8PM after we would be leaving park. The options the pass gave us were numerous “low demand” attractions scattered around the park - which defeats the purpose of the pass due to the few limited times you can even use it. I would advise for anyone to not spend the additional money for something if so little value.

  • Insane prices and workers feel free to be rude

Greedy Disney, employees are allowed to talk to patrons however they want. An employee messed up the boarding and my wife asked when we would be able to get in the ride and he told her to calm down. The employee noticed my anger and then removed his name tag. After the ride I asked for his name and he lied and made a name up. $20 for a small beer to wait in line, get cut in front of by other patrons and the employees don’t say anything is ridiculous.

We are having such a great time here at Disneyland. It seems so much less crowded than normal. Not sure why. Maybe everyone is sick of all the WOKENess???
