  • Veterinary Acupuncturist

Your choice of interviews of Crawford voters was such a cringey portrayal of left wing people as if completely normal blue collar essential workers don’t want to defend the rights of POC, trans people or Democracy itself. I have nothing wrong with veterinary acupuncturists or college students but I do not appreciate suggesting that the people turning out to vote on either side are some sort of a caricature. How about you challenge peoples perspective by reporting the unpolished truth rather than subliminally triggering biased heuristics for engagement
  • Frustrating on a basic level

Every update of the NYTimes app brings new variations on longstanding bugs, making this one of most frustrating reading experiences on the iPad. With the current version, tapping a headline on the today page causes the page position to jump instead of opening the article; you then need to scroll through the page to find the link again and tap it a second time to open it. I regularly go back and forth between the web site and this app, currently the web site is the better way to read the times.
  • Needs lots of work

The app is just not it. The search function rarely brings up relevant items. And why if I click on a NYT link in another app, does the app not open? I’m taking instead to a browser where I can then choose to read in the app
  • App only work 1/4 of the time

When I go to open the app all I get is a black screen the vast majority of the time
  • Great but fix your search!

Overall, pretty great app. The smooth transitions and the daily updates are good. There is a clearing, glaring lack of general search. I really need to fix this or they will just drive people to the Webb experience.
  • Search function is bad

Honestly this app could be MUCH better. My biggest gripe is the search function : no filters, just a long list of results. Also, the app should replicate the sections from the website : national, politics world, politics, life style, etc. and then allow to further filter down
  • New redesign is not user friendly

By why did you gut the app
Why are the sections now hidden on the search page? I had to go to Reddit to find this out. Really dumb redesign.
  • Great app, with lots of adds.

This news app is fantastic, but even with a paid subscription, it’s cluttered with large and distracting ads. I find myself using the native IOS web browser instead, which allows you to hide distractions with use the reader feature.
  • Mostly great

I like most of the features, and obviously the news. But every time I open it it pauses my music/podcast. And that’s enough to get me to close it and consider cancelling my subscription. In these turbulent times, I don’t care to read the news in silence.
  • Terrible app

Why can’t the NYT create a half-way decent app? Many articles won’t even open
