  • Stops updating while underway

I really like this navigation App for the dock to dock routing and ETA using my IPhone in addition to my MFD. Unfortunately, it stops updating randomly after a few minutes which isn’t always obvious (not what you need when you’re underway and in unfamiliar waters with a lot of boat traffic. I reported this problem last year and figured they would have fixed it by now since it is a serious issue. Unfortunately not. I upgraded my iphone from a SE3 to a new 16e but have the same problem with no difference. It’s hard to believe that a $50 annual subscription doesn’t buy better software support from a major company such as Garmin.
  • 2 device limit disaster

They added a 2 device limit which is absurd. I live on a sailboat and we have an iPad we use at the helm and my wife and I each have the app. We would use it for when either of us took the dinghy anywhere, but now we can’t! God forbid I have a backup phone to use in case I need it, now I can’t have it on the backup device. Terrible change! I don’t recommend this anymore and will look for alternatives.
  • Horrible battery usage

It’s crazy the app developer thinks it’s perfectly normal to say you can expect a whole “2 hours” of app usage before the app consumes the entirety of your battery. If your app can only run for 2 hours before draining the device it’s running on, something is very, very wrong with your development team. Would not recommend until they fix the battery issues.
  • Disappointed

Bought this app years ago for a lifetime fee. Now that garmin got their hands on it they won’t honor money, subscriptions, already paid and they want $50 a year to keep going forward. What a shame and a joke. Shame on you. Not even worth 1 star but had to enter something. Disgusting
  • App is great but might be getting hacked

The APP is wonderful. On or off the lakes the track works. The lake contours are perfect. The APP is worth the $50 per year. But——Ever since I order the US lakes, I have been getting second verification texts. Several a day. I reset my password but the app is going nuts or someone is trying to access my maps. I tried to email the support center but they keep sending to another Garmin division. I would think a security issue would trigger a positive replay from any Garmin group.
  • Not worth it any longer with the doubled price.

    Same as above.
  • Changed app and now unusable

I bought this app around 15 years ago and it worked fine up until sometime around the last year. I bought a certain area of maps and now the app has taken that information away and wants me to subscribe monthly to get what I already paid for. Completely unacceptable behavior and probably illegal. Do not support. Editing after Garmins response. Just because you bought the app doesn’t give you the right to take what I already purchased. I purchased lifetime access to these maps and you as the new owner owe that to me. If I bought a bunch of books and you purchased the publishing company, you wouldn’t have the right to come into my house and remove those books then charge me yearly for access to them. I will never buy another Garmin product after this.
  • Increase the two device limit

Need to use it on three devices. The arbitrary two device limit has caused me not to renew my subscription and use alternate software. Having to rotate signing in/out to use on more than two devices is an unreasonable solution. Just allow more than two simultaneous sign-ins.
  • Bad

Used to be a good tool but I am extremely disappointed that you changed the satellite imagery overlay to only the areas around the water. There’s parts of lakes I fish and can’t see anymore. Y’all got lucky and got my money this year because I had auto renew on but until you fix that it will be the last of my dollars you get. We want full scale satellite imagery in the entirety of the app not a little chunk. Who made that decision? Should be fired asap.
  • Garmin ruined a good thing

Navionics was a great app and webapp to prepare for a fishing trip. Worked flawlessly and even had regular updates. Garmin takes over and raises the app price from $15 to $50, and all we get is a failing app and an abandoned webapp that won’t even load. This is truly upsetting.
