  • Time zone issues

    1

When I downloaded the app it was set to GMT-0, and I cannot change the settings to match my own time zone. Reached out to support but didn't get a response. Needless to say, this app is unusable. Update: I was able to update the time zone in a browser. The original support ticket I submitted via the app didn't give me a ticket number and I never got an email confirmation.
  • Great

Great, but needs dark mode icon & tasks integration. Month to month scrolling in month view should be vertical not horizontal; horizontal swiping can then be between calendar & task/to-do list. That would be fantastic.
  • Missing ability to edit shared calendar items

Update: Am leaving Proton Family at the end of this contract cycle. Too many half-baked products that never achieve basic functionality (‘coming soon’ is a lie) after literally years of hoping in vain. Good luck, Proton. —— Such a basic thing and I’m losing hope having waited so long that Proton will finally make it a reality. Stop shipping broken products and expecting users to pay for an expensive service hoping in vain for years!
  • Reminder vs Time zone change

I also have 4 recurring appointments set up, each with one reminder set at 8 hours prior, and another reminder set at 1 hour prior. I recently changed time zones in the US, for holiday travel, and not one reminder was sent via email or app notification.
  • Good enough for personal use

I've been trying Proton Calendar after using Google for many years. So far it works well enough; I like its simple interface and the numerous color options for events. The only major drawback for me is a lack of an iPad app. I know Proton is pushing themselves as an alternative business solution (e.g. Proton Docs), but Calendar would need a lot more features in order to compete with its Google and Office equivalents. I don't need as much for personal use, but just a note for anyone considering using them for business.
  • Coming from Android, this is awful

I’ve primarily used Proton Calendar on Android/Graphene OS on multiple devices with no issues as the primary calendar. In comparison, on iOS this is basically useless. How is this app unable to integrate and function as the primary/default calendar? Very surprised and displeased to see the state of this app on iOS.

It’s fine if you want this calendar app, but I would like to sync the calendar to Apple Calendar without having to manually export and then import every new item that comes though to the Apple Calendar app.

If you can’t be bothered to make it fit the screen then get it out of the iPad store.
