    Can’t search for files by name. There is no search function at all. That should be necessary for a cloud storage service. Plus, if a folder is all photos and videos it should go into a media view and enlarge all the thumbnails, but that’s a minor feature that’s lacking compared to a search bar.

    Not working at all, I tried to move some MP3 files, it keeps saying that the file size does not match the file, which is a complete inaccuracy, even converted the file to a new file size, it still says the same thing, no way from the app to choose folders to move to proton, it did not work right from the get-go please fix these problems and I will be back, as Arnold says.. also it would be nice if you increase the storage size to 4 GB

    a service that cannot provide even the basics of what it intends to be used for. non-stop app freezing anytime i scroll. clicking a folder literally over 100 times before it opens. one jpg image downloading for minutes before displaying nothing but black and the file name. often no thumbnail previews. completely unable to navigate multiple folders without the app freezing for 5 minutes or more. would be slow even if it were functioning as intended due to the encryption which is fine, but this has been nothing but a waste of money and time, and extremely frustrating for anyone actually trying to be productive.

    It’s an extremely good cloud storage solution, however it does have some drawbacks compared to others. It lacks several features like a proper video streaming feature, but this is still a pretty new service so I’m expecting more features to be added in the coming months and years.

    The services are fantastic, I love supporting Proton as a whole for so many reasons, but my iCloud is 2tb, and “Proton Unlimited” is only 500GB, so I literally cant replace iCloud with this service

    I love proton but this app itself could use some improvements. My biggest complaint is that it won't upload stuff in the background. So it takes forever to upload all my photos. If you upgrade that, I will update the rating. Also, it could go faster… The other thing which I don't know if its an app issue or a photos issue but I wish I could sort my photos and I wish there was some type of organization to it... I have over 28 thousand and there's no rhyme or reason to it and its so hard to find them... It'd also be great if I could select several and send them more easily.

    May be a little buggy but likely device although updated sometimes it backs up properly and sometimes it is not loading quite as one would expect and takes a while however I can not say anything but it once you get it to work have to say it is excellent. So email combo is better than any tried…. Proton keep going! Would get another paid version but something went wrong and couldn’t recover it. So no worries readers of the review it may take you or others getting used to, depending on your knowledge of device and type but for what it is paid or free versions are worth it for banking medical and specific needs. However most browsers and email read unsecure. Idea for proton: create browser otherwise I have tried several recommendations and most failed the security in USA so another option is an encryption plugin for whole device or computer that has public and private keys Apple android windows fail me

    Just switched over from android where I’d use proton drive to backup photos, and it would back them up in the background almost immediately after taking the pic. On iPhone I have to open the app for it to back up, which is a huge inconvenience. Is it a bug, or does apple see it as a security issue maybe? Love proton nonetheless.

  • Somewhat unreliable

    Download speed from app is very slow, and for large files it is incredibly unreliable and cannot be downloaded at all. Strangely enough the web version seems to work fine and you can download things reliably well on there. Not sure why it’s different for the app. Storage capabilities are quite basic, but the main selling point is the encryption. I mainly use it to backup some old project files and data. For the app I would recommend increasing the download speed and making larger downloads more reliable
