I use this everyday. Customer service is fast and understanding if you give them a call. This is the best decision I ever made coming to college.

I’m unable to sign the rental agreement. App stays locked on spinning wheel of death trying to load. No other problem with other apps or internet connection. Called to get help and they said it was my phone. Do I tried to download on my iPad and had the same result.

Genuinely terrible app experience compared to other bikeshares run by Lyft, buggy and frustrating UI, with no real updates in several months! The actual bikes are very pleasant to ride. This could be a great program, but the app could really hold it back. It’s not clear how to pay for single rides the first time you use the app, and you can’t request a bike to be placed in the morning like you can on the scooter apps. since the switch to Lyft, the city’s data dashboards haven’t been updated, and they were super helpful for figuring out if certain stations empty out quickly (and getting stranded). CapMetro, please fix this app, I want this program to succeed!

I confirmed with CapMetro. Incredible as it sounds, if you don't have a credit card, you can't use Austin's public bikeshare program.
  • Dissatisfied!

It is very dissatisfying, I used it for the first time for 18 minutes and charged $24. I do not know what to say, like more than a dollar for a minutes. It is the most unfair rate I have ever been charged. Very dissatisfied. Do not use it if you see it.
  • Horrible experience

It was darn near impossible to use the app the first time, especially for two bikes. We had to create another account for the second bike??? Now I see extra charges of $24 x 2 that I have to spend time figuring out how to correct??? Don’t even bother, big headache and waist of time. I almost forgot, my bike chain was slipping the whole ride making loud clanking noises. I thought the chain was going to come off. Save the frustration and walk.
  • Great way to get around downtown

I take transit downtown each morning and ride bikeshare to and from my office most days. The bike network is pretty good Downtown, West Campus, SoCo & Ladybird Lake. I recommend the annual pass: it’s $86 for unlimited rides. Otherwise, there are pay-as-you-ride plans that start at $2.99. PROS * Starting a ride is easy with the QR code. * Can see where bikes are on a map * Can see how many bikes are at the dock * Takes many forms of payment * Doesn’t drain battery CONS * hard to add 2+ riders * can’t report non-functional bikes at the dock * network limited to downtown adjacent areas .

I downloaded the app since I am a student at UT Austin and I plan on using the pass discount. I didn’t sign up for any passes yet, while I await the promo- but I was suddenly charged for $24?? Really annoying as a student
