  • I finally gave up

I finally deleted the app. It was so slow to even load and the app was useless anyway. I could never find anything I wanted to find. Uploading receipts was unreliable too. I had to keep them until I could double check they were there.
  • Broken Functionality- Unable to Deposit Money

I’ve attempted to deposit multiple checks and am given the error message, “Whoops! Something went wrong. Try to deposit another check.” There is no way of identifying what went wrong and it happens on every attempt. Customer Service has assured me everything is working on their end. Not sure how I can effectively run my business when basic functionality isn’t working and there is no way of fixing it.

Honestly if you don’t have an account with qb search up a better platform bc their app is horrible. So many glitches on the app I thought maybe my phone wasn’t working or wifi but no it was the app itself. It freezes and takes forever to load things and if you’re using your phone if you type in invoice details it’ll take the app like 1 minute to then type in what you typed. I went nuts trying to invoice my customers today. Save yourself the headache and use another service, I will also be looking around for a better platform.

  • Orphan of support

I just moved to another app with more features for the fraction of the price I paid for this piece of bits! Quick Books is like a Ferrari driven by a drunk driver. They’ve a big software but support is very weak… They told me to uninstall QB Self Employed and now I can’t install again and lost all my memos, my trips logs, my invoices from January to October 2024!! All I get from QB support is apologies and offers to sign a more expensive plan.
  • Old version was fine

Seems there always pop ups for the users to spend more money on your “improvements”. Not user friendly at all.
  • Quit trying to fix things that aren’t broken!

It seems like every time there’s a new update, some aspect of my invoices gets messed up. Lately it’s been the footer at the bottom of the invoices not appearing. This is not the case on the desktop version, and there’s no way to add it on the app. This is where I keep a lot of my legal information that I have to have on my invoices per local, state, and federal governments. Why can’t the app version invoice and desktop version be identical. Why even have the ability to customize invoices if QuickBooks is just going to disable that ability on the app.

Horrible for small businesses. I have had so many various problems with Quickbooks over the years, fearing going with an even worse company. Now that they have amazing competition out there, I highly recommend going with another company. QB will squeeze a disgusting amount of money from all of their fees and have to spend countless hours on the phone fixing their mess ups to where it’s very counter productive and costly. Also, do not get their QB checking! It’s really just a prepaid Greendot card under the guise of their own checking account! And watch out for that one button pop up activation on the phone app. If you accidentally click that randomly popping up as it does, you have to bring yourself down to an exact 0¢ balance in order to close it!
  • Unreliable, therefore unusable

When our company switched from QBD to QBO, one of the perks I was looking forward to was the ability to use the app to lookup pricing and customer purchase history. FIRST OF ALL: 80% of the time I go to open the app and it tells me “This’ll just take a few seconds” with a spinning green circle that actually takes minutes not seconds. One time “a few seconds” actually to more like 20 minutes to let me in to use the app. I assume it’s updating changes that were made but this isn’t useful when your standing next to a customer hoping to pull up a price real quick. Just this reason alone I very rarely try to open this app. Then once the app actually lets me in to use it, I have noticed that it’s still not completely updated, incomplete customer transaction history and missing products from the price list. Because of these two or three issues I have basically given up on trying to actually use this app.

I use this app mostly for the mileage tracking. It is not very reliable which seems to be because it is always refreshing. When I open the app it does a “refresh” then sits on the finishing up screen until I close the app and log back in. Sometimes it then has me logged out and I have to login again.
