  • Really Impressed

I used Evernote for a while like 10 years ago for a short stint. I stopped using and came back right before Bending Spoons took over. everyone was skeptical how that would be. But Evernote had improved leaps and bounds over the last two years. Very happy.
  • Unlock My Notes

I used this notes app for years when it was free and found it incredibly helpful. However, because I used it so frequently during that time, I eventually reached the storage limit. I originally while I moved the notes over. It was a huge hassle and I’m still not sure all of the notes were available to me to copy it into other formats. Now, all of my previously accessible notes are locked behind a paywall. It's frustrating to have my own content held hostage simply because I used the app as it was originally offered.
  • Upgrade ruined Evernote

I was a long time Evernote user and the latest upgrade lost all my existing notes as they try to monetize the app. Terrible way to treat customers. Deleted the app.
  • Excellent app for keeping information so you can find it

I’ve used the app for years. It has gotten a bit expensive as they’ve added lots of really cool features, which I don’t use. That said, I use it for my personal notes and information. The search is excellent and the convenient connection to the Scannable app is very useful. The fact that o can see and update my notes from multiple platforms (iPhone, iPad, laptop browser) is why I continue to pay for it.
  • 10 years using Evernote!

Ever Improving! AI TOO GIVES ADDITIONAL VERSATILITY! Still learning how to better file and access as the system improves daily. I would really like to know how best to send all communications to the outside world through Evernote. Google and Apple and AI can be improved in the design and print area. The AI use of Chat GPT Plus would save me a great deal of time as I now use Chat GPT and Notes to copy and paste and to improve my content. Hours a day on ChatGPTPro. All the other AI pales to ChatGPT Pro - I do use it with Otter AI which might make Evernote more user friendly if you allowed and encorporated Otter AI. When General AI is perfected , Evernote can really be the ONE!
  • Used to be an Awesome app

My original review: Best app ever for note taking across multiple platforms. I use it all the time. My next update review: Ever since Bending Spoons took over, this app has gotten worse. In the past, each major update had significant issues, but they dealt with them sufficiently that I did not find it necessary to make this sort of update. I was willing to put up with a few changes to usability that I didn’t like because the overall benefit was still largely there. However, Bending spoons is constantly pushing popups about their little fixes, interrupting the flow of use that used to make this app great. My current review update: Although I still don't appreciate Bending Spoons interruptions with trivial update popups when I open the app, usability has i proved, and Evernote remains my favorite note-taking app. Partly because I can’t bring myself to dive back into the lacking MS OneNote app, but mostly the features Evernote provides and the great usability. I just wish they’d quit messing around with it imposing new “features” that open up template notes that really don’t want that embed themselves in my notebooks and have go back and remove them. Its nuisance since I have long established my own way of using the app that works great for me. But as long as it remains usable I’ll put up with these unwanted interjections written in by programmers who don’t seem to have enough to do.

    Amazing!
  • Still (edit for algorithm) a “lovely” app.

Apple I guess doesn’t like the negativity, let’s see if I can shape the algorithm. updates; 16October2024 Still 11Sept2024: 5April2025 15 May It’s still a disaster. Don’t update it. Latest arrogance unseemly but not surprising. I’ll determine adequacy of my password. Your users are not fat cows and you shouldn’t be mosquitoes. I’ve been a subscriber for so many years; it incrementally gets worse with every update. I’ve accumulated over 30,000 notes and now I, am hostage. If you want to use Evernote, find an old phone with Evernote installed. Do not ever update it. 16Oct: if you don’t update it stops working.
  • Great product with one major problem

I’ve been using Evernote daily from when it was first launched, and have always been very happy… until this last round of updates. While most of the product works perfectly, the Reminders feature on IOS has become almost unusable. It is impossible to sort reminders in the order they are due, making the feature (that is a major part of my work flow, and one the main reasons I use Evernote) practically worthless. I’ve sent several requests to support, but have never received a reply. Really hoping they’re working on this. Have never depended on a piece of software so much, that I almost daily now think about having to find a replacement for.
  • It’s no longer free

I enjoyed this app when it was free and now that it’s no longer free I’ve lost all my recipes I had saved there. I’m very disappointed that I can’t retrieve my recipes. If there was a star rating less than one I would rate a zero. Not happy at all. There should’ve been a warning or something so I could’ve retrieved my recipes before the got greedy.
