Have you ever thought about the people that make your community special? Have you wondered when, why and how a community changes and develops over time? Have you thought about how the differences in traditions and cultures that come together in a place make an extraordinary, diverse and rich tapestry that makes a community special? We did, and in the Autumn of 2021 we set about finding out about how the place we call home has been built by many people from different places. In this app we explore how people from different parts of the world have come to Wales and made it their home, adding to our cultural heritage and helping to make Wales a vibrant, multi-cultural country. Cymmer Community Team have researched a variety of cultures and religions although we realise there are many more people who have helped make Wales the rich diverse country it is today. Maybe you research people from different parts of the world and find out how they have influenced our country? The app is designed to explore the stories of how our communities in Wales have been enriched by the addition of people from different parts of the world. This app is designed to explore the stories and culture of these individuals who have come from different parts of the world, who have made Wales their home. Reaching far back into the history of Wales over many eras from the Medieval times through to the modern day.
