The pupils from Ystrad Mynach Primary School have been inspired by #EveryoneCanCreate and #EveryoneCanCode to create the YMPS Edu TV app. The pupils have written the stories themselves and brought them to life using iPads. All content on YMPS Education TV has been made by the pupil App Development Team. Wales is just about to launch a new curriculum and Ystrad Mynach Primary have developed four characters: * Enterprising Elin * Ethical Ela * Healthy Harri * Ambitious Aled The pupils have created stories using the iPad Keynote app to bring the characters to life and you can discover each character’s true values and beliefs. The pupils have also added character description sections which they have written using the SwiftUI programming language. Ethical Ela Ethical Ela is a kind person, she puts the world before herself and she follows rules. Ela is honest and fair. Her hobbies are recycling and protesting for climate change. She is an upstanding and right minded citizen. Ela doesn't like people who do not follow rules, like parking on double yellow lines, underage drinking and smoking, people putting fruit waste in recycling bins. Enterprising Elin Hi, my name is Enterprising Elin and I always have great ideas. I do admit I'm bossy but in a nice way. I am confident and always happy, you will never see me without a smile. I love taking risk and I am very positive. I enjoy being a team leader and supporting all of my friends. I’m always happy to help anyone in need of assistance. I am resourceful and energetic a lot of the time. The one thing I hate is falling out with my friends! Ambitious Aled Hello my name is Aled and I love to challenge myself every now and then. I keep myself happy and busy by doing work if I am bored which is also great fun. I am always motivated and I always love to challenge not only me but everyone else as well! My favourite subject is either Maths or English. Healthy Harri Hello I'm Harri, I'm just a young healthy child. I live with my Mum and Dad and every weekend we all go for an hour cycle, my Mum and Dad are always exhausted but I'm ready to do more. I'm 10 years old and I really want to persuade other pupils to exercise as much as I do. Staying healthy is an important part of growing up and it can affect you physically and emotionally. Especially when you have to deal with things like school and tests! Staying healthy prevents heart and lung problems and possibly certain cancers
