All the content for the app has been created by primary school children and includes information text, blogs, Minecraft models, Augmented Reality and digital drawings Follow the History Hunters as they explore the country, looking for landmarks and places of interest they have found in Wales. Take a look at the fabulous digital drawings the children at Llansannor Primary School have created to accompany their information text. The children update their blogs regularly, so make sure you follow them to keep abreast of other places the History Hunters have discovered. Use the app to motivate your children and find out about local landmarks in your own area. The children have created Marvellous Minecraft models of their favourite historical landmark. Have fun with the Augmented Reality and put Beaumaris Castle in your classroom! Find out what it’s like to walk around The National Botanic Gardens whilst sitting at home. Build your own scene and use as a stimulus for creative writing. Watch the increase in engagement and interactivity Augmented Reality affords. The most unique thing about this particular app is that it was created entirely online during lockdown! The app shows how successful online learning can be when children are motivated and engaged in their learning.
