Description

1Password has been helping folks forget their passwords since 2006. Trusted by millions of people and more than 150,000 businesses, "1Password offers the best combination of features, compatibility, security, and ease of use" among password managers, according to The New York Times Wirecutter. == Generate strong passwords == Use the built-in password generator to create strong, unguessable passwords with a tap, then access those secure passwords on any device. 1Password works across popular operating systems as a browser extension, mobile app, or desktop app. == Sign in automatically == Autofill your username and saved passwords when signing in to websites or apps. 1Password for iPhone and iPad works with Safari and apps so you can sign in to your online accounts without the hassle. You can even download a dedicated 1Password for Safari browser extension for even more seamless integration. == Built-in two-factor authentication == 1Password can also create and autofill one-time two-factor authentication codes for services that support 2FA, so there’s no need for a separate authenticator app – and no more copying and pasting. == Industry-leading passkey support == Did you know there’s a more convenient and secure alternative to passwords? They’re called passkeys, and you can generate and save those in 1Password, too – and even use them to unlock 1Password. For sites that support passkeys, you’ll never have to generate another password. == Sign in with other providers == If you sign in to websites or apps with Apple or other providers in a web browser, you can store and sign in with those logins in 1Password, too. == Secure and organize your digital life == Faster sign-ins are only the beginning. In addition to managing passwords and passkeys, you can store credit cards, secure notes, banking info, medical records, and anything else you want to protect in 1Password, so your most valuable personal information is always available on any device. == Share anything, securely == Share passwords and anything you store in 1Password with anyone, even if they don’t use 1Password. Securely (and temporarily) share Wi-Fi details, financial information, and other sensitive info with friends, family, or colleagues to keep that information out of insecure channels like email and messaging apps. == Security made easy == Strong password generation is a big win for your personal security, but 1Password is much more than a password vault. Security features include unlocking 1Password with biometric authentication (including Touch ID or Face ID), and real-time security alerts and reporting through Watchtower. You’ll know immediately if your accounts are compromised in a data breach, so you can take the necessary action. == Travel Mode == Protect your data from prying eyes while traveling with Travel Mode. Temporarily hide vaults containing sensitive information and restore them when you’re home. == Uniquely secure, completely private == Protect yourself and your family from cyber criminals with 1Password’s unique, industry-leading security. We can’t see your 1Password data, so we can’t use it, share it, or sell it. Learn more about our security model at 1Password.com/security. == Get started for free == Try 1Password free for 14 days, then find the plan that's right for you or your business. • Unintuitive & time consuming

I had reasonable expectations for this product. I’ve used other password managers like what’s shipped natively in Apple (keychain) and Google. 1Password is nothing like these: it’s unintuitive, cumbersome, repetitive, and doesn’t make my life easier. The Watchtower feature is a joke. I’m disappointed. I’ll likely switch back to Keychain or move to Norton.
  • Hard to cancel

Got billed for a second year because I could not figure out how to cancel this service. Not cool
  • Discussing and disruptive and intrusive

Try to login and it keeps popping up asking to save the password, and it disrupts my login, it keeps popping over and over and over, it never stops, and every time asks me to update password, which I don’t want to and it just gets stubborn and frustrating and interruptions my work and slows my performance and progress. Absolutely makes me hate myself, I absolutely hate it but stuck with it
  • Seriously?

An password manager that becomes so convoluted that you need another password manager to manage its own password...
  • Basically unusable on iPhone

I don’t know what has happened to this app recently. I really love it for use on my laptop, but in recent weeks on my iPhone, it has been completely unable to fill in a password. It basically prompts to auto fill from one password and then freezes the app with a white screen.
  • Seems great if it worked easily

Since upgrading to 1password 8 I’m struggling to get it integrated with all of my browsers on my phone as well as my laptop. I’m not sure why it’s suddenly so much more difficult but it is and that’s super frustrating. Another poster mentioned how they had to go out and go through multiple steps now - I’m having the same issue so maybe it’s just not obvious how to integrate this or maybe this new version is harder to integrate on the Mac platform and iOS platform? I’m really not sure but I wish they would do better documentation around this because I’ve been struggling ever since I upgraded Update: the lack of an ability to force sync is really atrocious
  • I’d be Lost Without This App

I discovered 1Password when it was bundled with my first iPhone many years ago. That was probably the iPhone 2 or 3. I have hundreds of passwords, and am totally reliant on 1Password! I love that any new passwords or changes to old information syncs seamlessly to all devices very quickly. I have the app on my phone, tablet, and laptop, as well as the extension on every browser. It is very reasonably priced, and even if it wasn’t, it would be worth every penny to me.
  • Great but has a deal breaking issue

Good News? It’s the best app of them all, so save your time and effort. I have tried all of them including the eventual failures of both Googles and Apples internal apps for free. 1P has a smooth Apple-like look and flow, never has dead links. However. Bad News: When it comes to financial- they are unfeeling and careless when there’s a problem that often their own agents cause. •••Their top notch security is unbeatable but it changes too often, and in 10 years has had 2 updates that changed the entire structure and many lost over 1,000 entries. The agents might be talented but have response times measured in days. Not hours. Major crisis like family vs corporate vs solo? Weeks, and if you miserably get double billed- wait weeks more and only get extensions never refund. •••Finally some basic features and functions (like delete) are deliberately buried under many illogical layers, because their philosophy (evidenced by their community forum) is to behave in a manner that treats their customer base as if we are stupid children who can’t handle adult toys. They always seem to leave potentially disastrous control that you had in the past - removed because too many didn’t understand and got locked out and >> LOST EVERYTHING. Then, deny, deny, deny.

    Outstanding app
  • Please add comma to keyboard

When I type in the 1Password app, for instance when I was trying to add a username with a comma in it, the keyboard does not have a comma button, even when I look in both of the symbol and number sections. When I type in other apps there is a comma button, so it’s not a problem with my phone.
