  • SOOO done once Apple adds notes/files in their Password app

Sick of 1P8 not being in the App Store. Sick of the app turning into an Electron app, wild UI/UX inconsistencies on MacOS now because of that. Apple came so close with breaking out the Passwords app, but once it gets a notes field and attachments to their app, first thing I’m gonna do is migrate (20 years of history!) and delete 1P!
  • It works!

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about: it works just as well as the Chrome version!
  • Good App with weak security

Among the password managers that work across Apple devices, this is about the best, but security is weak on the MAC app. Probably fine for many, but weak for more demanding users. It relies solely on a strong password and offers no option for 2FA or a passkey.

    Annoying!
  • Still fine if you don't use the Safari extension

I've never been a fan of the Safari extension so whatever problems people have with it don't affect me. I vastly prefer native apps to Web-based apps so I'm happy to keep 1Password 7 for as long as it keeps running. Once they get rid of the native app I will switch to something else. The later versions don't feel "Apple"

1Password is the most damaging app for your passwords, like no other. No wonder it is going down in reviews over and over. I changed my Master Password, logged out, and tried logging in again. May I remind you that I store about 250 different logins, including private data and documents. 1Password did not store the master pass for me, so I wasn't able to sign back in. The app, which was thankfully still open, was offline, indicated by the orange strikethrough cloud at the top. And for some reason, it would just not go back online. Hence, creating a recovery key was not possible. I was also not able to access a password change since I was "offline." After contacting support, they basically said, "We can't help you, you're screwed, and oops. Sorry." DO NOT EVER, EVER USE THIS APP. IT WILL COST YOU MANY HOURS OF GRIEF, AND YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR ACCESS.

1Password used to be great. It is now a pale shadow of its former self. The interface is clunky, it is hard to find what you want, and it feels slow. It may not be slow, it is just the cognitive overhead of having to think to find what you want.
  • Has only gotten worse

I've been using 1PW for a very long time. Newer features over the past few years have gradually made it more complicated to setup and use for simple logins. I regularly have problems and have begun to lose trust in the service. Not sure what happened. It used to be great.
  • I paid

And they now want to coerce me to pay over and over by slowly getting rid of functionality.

Well, it happened. Time has revealed that your decision was a mistake. You didn’t care about what your customers had to say back then, and now you’re abandonware with trash ratings. I don’t know when these people will learn.
