I signed up for the free trial tonight. Since the app wasn’t working as advertised, I made two attempts to resolve the issue with customer service. Those attempts were unsuccessful. I went to delete the app figuring it was a free trial, and I was dissatisfied with the app and the customer service, so would not be proceeding forward. It was only when I went to delete the app and got a notification to manage my subscription, that I realized I was charged $19.99!?! I requested a refund from Norton but was directed to contact Apple. From the app glitches, to poor customer service, to fraudulently charging my account when I was supposed to have a free trial, this is fraud. I’m extremely dissatisfied with Norton’s business practices. Oh, and apparently I can’t request a refund because there’s no receipt!?!? Also, it’s 12:55AM, and I’ve been awake trying to resolve this. This fraud is not only disgusting and disappointing, but an inconvenience as well.

There used to be an option in the VPN settings to automatically turn on whether on wi-Fi or cellular data, and now there’s only an option to automatically turn on if you’re not connected to a trusted network. Granted, you have to manually add each network to your trusted networks, but it seems like the VPN constantly disconnects when I’m using my home Wi-Fi even though I did not add it to my trusted network. Regardless of what Wi-Fi I am on, I always want my Internet privacy to be protected, which is the point of having the VPN on. They better fix this update or I’m done.

It says free trial but when you go to activate it makes you choose a plan right away and then it automatically charges you. It also says $49.99 the first year but then automatically charges you the whole $104. Tried to contact support but they blamed it on another vendor even though it’s literally their own advertising. If you and the vendor charge two different prices, don’t put your price advertised on the vendors site ITS MISLEADING! there needs to more real information on the mobile app and especially about vendor prices vs what they charge. also they don’t tell you first that they charge two different prices based on the vendor until you contact them. They also said that’s why you buy it on the website but then if that’s the case DON’T OFFER THE LOWER PRICE ON THE MOBILE APP. I literally have a screenshot of the lower price being offered on the app! so basically they give you fake information and then charge you the larger price.
  • Disappointing Service and Unresolved Issue

I am extremely disappointed with Norton. I encountered an error on my "identity page" due to your software, which caused significant disruption. To make matters worse, I tried reaching out to customer service at 4 PM—well within your stated working hours of 8 AM to 9 PM—but no one was available. It’s frustrating to experience such poor service, especially when I rely on Norton for protection. I expected better from a company that claims to prioritize customer support. Waisted subscription....
  • Bring back the old one that worked

Edited: They took away the function that allowed you to scan your phone on demand. No wat to do that now. The ad blocker was also removed and does not work at all anyway. The “risks” will have a huge alert but there is nothing to tell you what that risk is. My app says 2 alerts but then there is nothing?? Nothing in the “privacy report” or anywhere else? I keep everything up to date so this is bizarre, concerning, and useless. Then the privacy report tab blocks access to the vpn so it’s many steps and 5 minutes to change main setting to tiny text to get past it and get to the vpn and I have to do it regularly since the vpn drops throughout the day. They also took away the kill switch option. Now also the ad blocker does nothing and has been completely removed from the 360/vpn app except for a “link” from the main menu which takes you to the website where you have to log in. Basically I have decided Norton is not interested in keeping old customers and will continue to overcharge while stripping customers of the functionality they used to have which was why we were willing to pay more. I will be finding a different service come renewal time. Enough is enough. Original: Please fix the issue where it says “risks detected” but gives no information, no resolution, nothing to review. The old version let you do an on demand scan but the new version does not. The privacy report tab does not give any information and also there is no way to move it and it blocks access to the VPN. The old version UI was both more elegant and more effective. Please bring it back. The new version is convoluted and loss of functionality and purpose. I have to go into my settings and make the text the tiniest possible so I can’t even see it in order to then go back to the Norton app, try and squeeze my way around the “privacy report” which is useless and tells me nothing, then try and click through to get to the VPN. Because the vpn drops regularly this creates a series of tedious tasks throughout the day. Please fix it.

With the upgrade, it looks like you have to install and pay for VPN separately. It is certainly not clear if it is included or a separate charge. And the VPN software separately is expensive for the subscription. So the features advertised here for Norton 360 are misleading. Also, for Norton360 it shows on the IPad as VPN connected (upper right icon) and in Settings VPN , but it is really not connected to VPN. This is pretty serious as one thinks it is a secure connection when it really isn’t.

Why does Norton have to stop my text messages from going through? I see no reason for that!
