LastPass Authenticator offers effortless two-factor authentication for your LastPass account and other supported apps. With one-tap verification and secure cloud backup, LastPass Authenticator gives you all the security, without any of the frustration. ADD MORE SECURITY Safeguard your LastPass account by requiring two-factor authentication codes when signing in. Two-factor authentication improves your digital security by protecting your account with an additional login step. Even if your password is compromised, your account can’t be accessed without the two-factor authentication code. You can even mark a device as “trusted”, so you won’t be prompted for codes on that device while your account remains protected by two-factor authentication. TURNING IT ON To turn on LastPass Authenticator for your LastPass account: 1. Download LastPass Authenticator to your mobile device. 2. Log in to LastPass on your computer and launch “Account Settings” from your vault. 3. In “Multifactor Options”, edit LastPass Authenticator and view the barcode. 4. Scan the barcode with the LastPass Authenticator app. 5. Set your preferences and save your changes. LastPass Authenticator can also be turned on for any service or app that supports Google Authenticator or TOTP-based two-factor authentication. LOGGING IN To login to your LastPass account or other supported vendor service: 1. Open the app to generate a 6-digit, 30-second code OR approve/deny an automated push notification 2. Alternatively, send SMS code 3.     Literally every single time when I have to enter my master password, the 2 factor authentication fails. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I have reached out to support and of course by the time they email me back I am not near my laptop. They need chat support so you can get immediate help. This is such a terrible experience.

    So convenient and feels very secure. I really appreciate the password generator. The app doesn’t work super well on my iPhone, but that’s likely on Apple, not LastPass.
  • No Sync Across Devices

    LastPass Authenticator will not synchronize your TOTP codes across your devices. When I attempt to enable cloud backup on my iPad, it states that all of the TOTP entries backed up from my iPhone will be deleted.
  • LastPass recovery is horrible

    Once again trapped in the never ending loop of LastPass recovery. It takes 5 minutes to get the confirming email and by then I’m in to 3 other attempts. It’s horrible.
  • Most recent update on Stage Manager

    This used to be very usable on an iPad Pro with Stage Manager, but the most recent update broke window resizing, and locked it to portrait mode. This means trying to use it in landscape on Stage Manager just results in a shrunken-down view with tiny fonts.

    Glitchy, horrible. Not enough time or words in the English dictionary to describe how awful this app is. I hate it.
  • Deleted all of my keys

    I got a new phone. All of my authentication keys synced over perfectly. They were stored locally, suddenly the app gets updated and all my keys are gone. This is the second time I've been burned by Lastpass. I'm done trusting them.
