I’ve been a fan of this game since the first one, anything that makes you think and interact with the world is a great game to me. These guys put a lot of work into to making these games from the complex puzzle like worlds to the artistry it is just fantastic.

It’s only okay for me. I’m not sure if the fault lay with USTWO or Netflix, but visually there are some discrepancies like the sea water foam that just weren’t there in the original release. The dialogue also felt really dumbed down. Almost every line from games 1 & 2 was quotable. “Meet me in town” is not a quotable or remarkable opening. I don’t think it’s bad, but possibly rushed? There’s just an elegance missing that previously was a signature of these games. I even checked out the Behance breakdown of the game leading to its release way back when. There was something there that just is absent this time around.

So thrilled to see a Monument Valley 3!!! I played and replayed the first two games forever! This has made my day! I needed this. Don’t know if it’s the gameplay, the graphics, the music, or all three but this game has a way of calming my brain and providing it with the stimulation it needs to stop being so anxious! Thank you!

I’ve purchased and played every game and expansion in the Monument Valley series. Each has been so much fun. I’m only part way through Monument Valley 3, and W O W is it still amazing. Yet I’m torn. I would like to purchase this for perpetual access. Yet this is tied to my Netflix subscription. I love that Netflix has Ustwo create this, yet I feel like it is a step in the wrong direction. I would have paid $9.99 or even $19.99 for this standalone. So that’s the negative. The positive is that this game is still amazing. The visual style has been maintained and expanded. There are new characters and the same type of minimalist, insert yourself in type of story. There are clearly some (I think) East Asian influences in this game (especially its beautiful music), and I’m totally on board. It’s just wonderful playing this game, which even adds new game mechanics. Fantastic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Once again ustwo has crafted a serene atmosphere and stunning setting full of awe and wonder with their gorgeous visual and sound design. The storyline is decent, and we once again have some standout puzzle design. I particularly loved the puzzle design of the inverted castle and subrosa. All in all, another solid entry in the Monument Valley series. Can’t wait for the first expansion coming soon.

Netflix made it too easy so anyone can beat it, boring.

Too many unnecessary animations that you cannot skip. The actual puzzles are a joke. More corporate money doesn’t make a product better, to state the obvious.
  • Not as much game play as previous games

I LOVED the first 2 Monument Valley games, so you could only imagine my excitement when they finally released a third one. The disappointment is immense to say the least. I’m not sure if it’s because you decided to release through Netflix, but I feel as if I’m watching the game more than I’m playing it. The levels are INCREDIBLY short, and there is no challenge. I wanted to finish this at least once, as I’ve finished the other 2 more than that, but it feels like a waste of time. If you wanted us to watch the game, then you should’ve made a show. Also, the fact you need a Netflix subscription! I hope the check was worth it. Worst installment by far.
