  • Came from Eve update to complain

If there are no haters for Eve update from Glow then I’m deceased. I’ve used this app for years (literally a lifetime premium subscriber), but the recent update is so bizarrely different now that it feels like I’m being pressured to get pregnant rather than just trying to track my period. I’m cis-het, but it’s now anti-LGBTQIA+ in that it only lets you track penetrative vaginal sex that ends with male ejaculation, like that’s the only purpose for sex?? It’s disturbing how pregnancy-focused it is for a period tracker tbh. If I wanted a pregnancy-focused app I’d be on one (oh hey Glow WAS one and fine separately). App developers should have looked at the over 100k positive reviews before completely changing the very purpose of the app. Future users beware because past 5 stars are being updated to critical reviews while the star rating remains the same (as in it should be 1 star but it’s not being updated). In fact, this is my 3rd try in submitting this review, so I wonder how many reviews are getting erased somehow. Additionally, this app is now not safe in the US: “Glow's privacy policy is concerning. Glow may share personal information with law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties. Mozilla Foundation recommends looking for a different period and fertility tracking app that protects user privacy.” If you want the source, copy and paste into Google and you’ll get it. Oh and even with the premium subscription I still get ads for their other apps… which I also don’t want?? tl;dr: I’m leaving a lifetime premium subscription for Stardust or Femm for ease of use, lack of homophobia, they don’t throw pregnancy in my face, and privacy and safety.
  • So many pop ups

I like that there’s basal temp tracking since a lot of apps forget that, but the pop ups are so disruptive. Even going into the app to quickly check how many days are left til my period is consistently met with 2-3 pop ups. I’ve been a user since 2016, but I think I’m going to need to find a new app soon, it’s that much of an interruption to my goals.
  • Too many adds!

Love the app but lately so annoyed with too much going on to be honest. All these pop ups and constant subscription reminders are just too overwhelming. Too many adds that disturb so much. If it won’t change def considering changing the platform…

This app is slow and buggy. Please fix it for better user experience. There are other issues as well, but this is the main one.
  • No more free basic

I can’t even see the basic free tracker. I’ve had the app for years! And the main use was that. Just to track my period. But I can’t even see my period bc it wants me to subscribe! Don’t even bother with this app anymore.
  • Opening to the “shop” tab

First never ending ads, now when you open the app, instead of the calendar you’re greeted with the “shop” tab? Like are you kidding me

  • Pop-ups Insufferable

Every time I reopen the app I get at least 2, sometimes 5. Insane.
  • Not a bad app

It's resourceful, has a lot of information to log unlike some tracking apps. I just wish it wouldn't prompt me ever i open the app to pay for the added features.
  • Great app in the beginning

I’ve been a member since 2014. Through the years all the changes to the app have been great. However I want to say for the past year or so every time I open the app I’m bombarded with pop ups of whatever advertisement they’re pushing trying to get me to sign up for this and that. I don’t care to pay for anything because I’ve had it since high school just to track my cycle and moods and occasionally checking on the communities. Since I have to exit out of like 5 different pop ups to even get started on the app it’s really becoming a nuisance almost making me want to delete it. PLEASE FIX THIS! Have a section on the app dedicated to signing up for whatever that users can view on their own.
