In the e-edition, if you click on an article, it should take you to a full screen version of the article, but instead you get an error message. Fix this!
  • Best Source of information about Central Florida News

It’s always there, on my drive or on line. Well worth the money. A democracy depends on its newspapers. I pay for the Sentinel, NYT, Washington Post, and WSJournal. OK, I’m a retired news junkie. But I want news from professional, trained journalists. I want to know what our local, state, and national representatives are doing. I almost always, including this year vote a split ticket. Those who get “free” news from cable or internet get a lot of untruths, lies, that may have been planted by Russia, China, or Iran. Our newspapers make mistakes, but most separate editorial from news, and correct when they make mistakes. The Sentinel tries to do that. And they support Scot Maxwell, who is one of the best there is. I always read him first. I have had a Sentinel subscription since I moved to Florida in 1963. Have never been sorry.

  • Ads present in premium

The app appears to open a browser window when I try to read certain articles, which logs me out and therefore shows me half-page ads. As a premium subscriber, I should not be seeing ads at all. Very disappointed. As a new subscriber, I want to support great, local, unionized journalism, but this app is not making things easy.

Cannot read any articles in the eNewspaper. I get “Failed to parse article” with any article I click on.
  • Failure to parse article

Ever since the latest big update I cannot open any articles I click on. I just get the message “failure to parse article”. And yes I have reinstalled the app and restarted my device. Forced to update now on my other device and once again I can’t click on articles to read and just get a failure to parse article message. Private equity firms are cancer to our local papers.

Update 08/09/24: SAME PROBLEM AS WITH LAST UPDATE! I have been supporting local papers since college. A few months ago I stopped the hard copy as I found I was almost exclusively reading the digital Sentinel. Until now. You can’t view individual articles. I have to read it like I downloaded the PDF version!! Please fix quickly! No reason for this terrible update!

I’ve subscribed to the Sentinel for about 50 years. I never set up digital access because I Had the printed paper. I’m on vacation in NC and can’t figure out how to go digital. I have always had my paper stopped for vacations and delivered the ones I missed when I returned. You don’t do that anymore so I just lose those papers that I wpaid for. Can you help me set up digital? Terry Findley 5908 Cheswood Court Orlando
