  • Good shows, but software bug.

So if I’m watching anime and an ad break comes up, sometimes not all of the ads in the sequence play. Thats usually fine, but if the last ad skips then my anime plays with the black screen of the ad overlay blocking any visual stimuli. So now I’m stuck with an anime that I can’t read the captions or see the world until the end of the next ad break, hopefully. — Premium service is not worth it if theres a bug as simple as this in the software, even if it would prevent the bug trigger.

I was watching a certain anime and was like ahh! The frog! But there wasn’t any place to share my delight with others that I’m sure we’re delighted too.

I have been using crunchy roll for a very very long time along side funimation. My overall liking of the app is that it works very well, I just hope they add the custom playlist to the Apple TV app a the update on the news as well. My only complaint I really have is they took away so many original anime’s from early 2000s and it’s upsetting please bring back older anime to the app. My other complaint is that they need to organize the genres better like how funimation had it and update the actual release date the anime came out not the date they have uploaded it! But overall love the app and anime a lot!
  • Below average video quality

I am trying to watch a show but the quality is garbage, I selected 1080p and I have very good internet, not worth spending money on such a low quality product.
  • Fixing the Poor UI/UX of This App: A Frustrated User’s Perspective

I use this app extensively. It’s signed into both of my computers, both of my TVs, my iPad, my phone, my Nintendo Switch, and my PlayStation 5. Yet, despite my loyalty, my number one complaint is the user interface—it’s confusing and frustrating to navigate. Even illegal anime websites (which people shouldn’t use because they don’t support creators and have no funding) have interfaces that are far superior. Why is it that I feel like I’m searching for a needle in a haystack just to figure out if a new anime episode has been updated? Instead of focusing on “Anime You May Love,” I just want to get back to the anime I was already watching. The user experience is particularly bad on LG TVs, where it can take ten minutes of scrolling just to find what I’m looking for. The solution seems simple: 1.Display Recently Updated Anime at the Top: Make it easy to see what’s new this season. 2.Show Watch History Next: Allow users to quickly pick up where they left off. 3.Follow with Recommendations: Keep suggestions, but don’t let them dominate the interface. Finally, why not offer customizable UI options? Users are paying a significant amount for this app, so why not let us rearrange charts or remove ones we don’t use? Long story short: The UX needs a complete overhaul. Right now, it’s an unnecessarily frustrating experience.
