  • Focus with Audio

    This app is great for the learner who has a hard time focusing on reading any document, books, etc. Rather a pdf, word document, etc., it is easy to transfer the file into the app and have cloud access to this service. Use it as if you’re listening to music in your car, at home doing chores, or sitting with your laptop annotating. A bit pricey, but the return on investment as a tool is of great quality.

  • Such a horrible experience

    First, the auto-purchase system where the trial just flips to a purchase is awful. If you are confident in your product, you don’t do that. But now that I have it I fully understand why they do this. The user experience is horrible. No matter where I try and use it they want me to upgrade. Since I’m worried they will simply bill me again for a new instance, it is challenging. Then when you load the chrome extension, it doesn’t work, and suggests work arounds, which also don’t work. Terrible company.

    It worked the first few weeks, but now I’m trying to get through a reading for class and it won’t play. I paid over $100 for this not to work.

    I have been enjoy the app. I use the chrome extension and the native app on iOS and Mac. One thing I woudl love to see is the ability to integrate into my CarPlay and then have the ability to select from a playlist, or queue.

    I have the yearly subscription to Speechify and I use it constantly. Being able to highlight text on my screen, then hitting a key bind to get it to speak to me, in the speed and voice that I want, has been a game changer to my productivity. It's helped with: - Reading boring Emails / multitasking - Listening to web articles - getting back into consuming books There are a couple of minor issues here and there (sometimes the voices glitch out a little), but all those issues pale in comparison to the benefits. I would and have recommended to family!

  • Helpful but Needs Improvement and Better Pricing

    I'm in grad school so there's a lot of reading and this helps me to power through a lot of it, even when I'm in the car I'm able to listen. However, there are a lot of things that can be improved such as the app doesn't recognize when there is a reading that's two columns and will read directly across which makes no sense. Also, for something like this, I think the pricing is INSANE. Instead of making the pricing model accessible for more people, it seems like they price it over $150 a year just so that they can pay celebrities like Gweneth Paltrow and Snoop Dogg their cut of it for their voice. Thumbs down for that.

    Love the APP! It has been a great tool to listen to documents versus having to sit and read them. I can listen anywhere gym, store, while commuting and it saves me time!
