As per usual Square will release a game on iOS and do the bare minimum. They’ll drop the game and not update it for years. Hoping it will make them money. It’s been over 3 years since they’ve done any updates. Completely ignoring their fans on the feedback that would make the game an amazing experience. It needs controller support. It’s needs an option to run the game on higher graphics. Especially with the new iPhones coming out yearly. It needs Co-op like the original. At least be able to do local co-op And it’s needs Achievement rewards. Will we ever get these updates? No. Square will probably release the game again and brand it a new remaster and ask for more money.
  • No true local play and no controller support?

Very odd to call this a remaster and then not improve the headline feature (local multiplayer) or even add controller support. It's great that I don't need the full game to play co opp if I have it on my switch already but why do you need to insert a separate device into the equation at all? My switch and all my joycons and controllers are right there, why can't I just use those like I would in any of the other multiplayer Nintendo games I own? And when I get my phone working and connected I need to use touch screen controls? In 2024? Honestly I had a better experience playing this with my game boy advanced plugged into my GameCube back in the early 2000s. Legendary game but if I had known the local multiplayer was going to be such a downgrade I wouldn't have purchased it on switch. Definitely need to do my research before thinking of buying other Nintendo "remasters" in the future.

Producers of FFCC. Please know that the low rating is not because of any other reason then not being able to have the multiplayer experience we had on the GameCube, and to be able to save the game with the same people and progress in the game together. THAT IS IT. This game is a master piece, but whoever thought it was a good idea not to be able to progress in the game as a 4 player team is a moron. Please fix this and the ratings will go up I ASSURE YOU!!!

I’ve played Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles ever since I was a child with my siblings. We got this game in 2004 for the Nintendo Game Cube. I got no complaints for that console but I do for the mobile version, Android/iOS. Upon the release of the mobile version I was extremely disappointed. Here are some things I do not like about this version. —————————————————————— 1. NOT KEEPING THINGS THE SAME! Coming from a multiplayer stand point, some things have changed. We can’t exit the stage by going out where the starting point is, we can't enter a moogle’s home, we can’t progress in the same myrrh collection, unknown element steps killed off, and we can’t play the mini game race. - CONSIDER making these possible. —————————————————————— 2. CONTROLS TOO COMPLICATED! It’s hard to pick up items and or talk to NPCS. Often times tapping “pick up icon” turns into attacking or just moving. Even picking up the chalice is hard. When talking to NPCS that gives you items it’s hard to continue talking to them to drop more items because of all the items around you. For cutscenes of meeting on the map with a question to answer, the options are on the right causing players to accidentally press an unintentional answer. - CONSIDER placing classic NGC a,b,x,y on the bottom right corner of screen. -CONSIDER moving options for answering a question below. —————————————————————— 3. SKIP BUTTON We can’t skip boss entrance cutscenes, myrrh collection cutscenes, and ranking. Having to watching it every single time after you finish a stage is very tiring. -CONSIDER making skip possible. —————————————————————— 4. CONNECTION ISSUES Not sure if anyone experiences these issues but I have: getting kicked out of a quest even though internet connection is fine, reconnecting to a quest you got kicked out from takes forever, loading to the next map takes pretty long, more than two people casting spells or more than two monsters attacking or casting spells slows the game down super duper bad, lags no joke it’s a BISH, and when hosting, joining or matchmaking often gets a message saying function is currently not available. - CONSIDER fixing these issues some how developers. —————————————————————— There’s probably more issues I haven’t touched on but these are the main ones that I would like to be taken into consideration.

When I saw that this game as the same one I remembered playing on GameCube I was excited to give it a try. I even bought a kishi razor so I could play it with a controller so I can have a similar experience. Sadly… I found out it doesn’t support controllers at all. Now don’t get me wrong, I won’t dis a game just because it doesn’t support controllers. However sadly when the touch screen controls are so unintuitive, it makes the experience very lackluster and frustrating in more difficult levels. You won’t be able to block or switch to spells fluidly during fights like you could with controller because they decided to make you slide to switch instead of just pressing a “next” option. This all just limits crazy things you can pull off and sadly I would say just play it if you are fine dodging and W+M1 swinging. However don’t think your going to be able to use crazy skills in succession with the controls as they currently are.
