    Would not load all of my accounts. Very hard to work with. Wanted to love the app but there’s just too much wrong.

    Like previous Quicken products Simplifi does some things well and some things very poorly. I was excited to find this app after Mint was retired and happy to see that it handled recurring transactions better than Mint did. I didn’t mind paying for it based on the additional features. However, just like previous versions of Quicken products, Simplifi misses the mark on some major functionality and makes it difficult to contact support.

    This and Monarch are the best mint replacements I found. Simplifi has the best budget widget, but the app keeps signing out of my account multiple times a day which is frustrating.

  • Useless App to manage a Checkbook

    I’ve used Quicken for 25 years or so. With a thought of upgrading to an iPad app that I can share with my Spouse, I trialed Simplifi. The most basic feature of a checkbook app is to show a running total of the amount in the Checkbook. I have never had an overdraft because I can see what day my balance might dip below zero and I can watch the impact of each transaction. Some days both a deposit and withdrawal occur on the same day. Simplifi won’t show the fact that the transaction order could result in an overdraft. What were the developers thinking? Is that too hard to code? And if you sign up for a trial through Apple, there are no clear instructions on getting a refund, only cancellation of the subscription. What a waste of my time. Don’t let it waste yours.

    The app sets an automatic “spending plan” with limited options for customization. For me, this is not useful at all. I just want to be able to set my own monthly budget and then categorize spending from my credit card and checking accounts.

  • Great potential but lots of issues

    Coming from a very popular free financial app, Simplifi has SOOO much going for it as a ‘real’ financial app. It’s all the little things like marking that you’ve reviewed a transaction and splitting a manual transaction that you later link the bank downloaded transaction. Great potential as a full fledged but simple financial app. Unfortunately—I feel like a beta user. Poor sync performance, missing transactions, bewildering transaction linking, duplicate transactions, odd UI behaviors, and more. Basically, every time I open Simplifi, I feel like I have to monitor it for errors. I just called support. I select to wait for a representative. A couple minutes later, it just dumped me to voice mail. Simplifi is broken everywhere. Also, constant bank connection issues! “Connection broken…”

    UPDATED REVIEW (10/01/24) - Quicken Simplifi is still buggy and a pain to use. Do yourself a favor. Find a different program to use. Simplifii constantly changes my accounts, transactions, etc. to suit its own narrative. There are constant connection errors lasting for days and weeks. In this time, Simplifii will change all of your account balances so that nothing is accurate. Transactions are often duplicated or missing. The only reason that i have been able to use Quicken Simplifii is because i am naturally a meticulous person. Balancing my accounts on Quicken Simplifii is liken to do battle. The program constantly works against me, and i have to constantly fight the program, create workarounds, and exclude entire features altogether. The transfer transaction feature is so entirely flawed, i have to make sure no transactions ever gets linked together (even if the two transactions are correct). Always leave the transfer category at the base category of “Transfer”. Otherwise, you are essentially given Simplifii permission to change that linked transaction at any given time. It will be correctly linked to another transaction, and then a few weeks or months later, Simplifii will decide to link it to a different transaction. Anyways, PLEASE FIND A DIFFERENT PROGRAM TO USE. SIMPLIFII IS A BAD PROGRAM.

  • MFA Madness!

    Every time I or my wife go to open the app we have to MFA 4 times. Needless to say this breaks spending alerts, and makes using the service a PITA! We didn’t have this issue with Mint
