  • Mostly works, interface is pretty clunky

The app mostly works for what it’s meant for, configuring presets. And it is definitely better than configuring directly on the amp. But there are some things I don’t love. And honestly I’m a bit salty that I can’t control my GTX 100 from my computer instead of a phone app… The app forces landscape mode so it’s a pain to navigate with one hand. When searching presets you can only see two at a time, there is so much wasted space on the screen. And you have to keep hitting “more” after a few presets, which is right where the little drag bar at the bottom of the screen is to go home so I constantly keep closing the app. Stuff like dragging the scroll bar to quickly go to the end of the list doesn’t work so instead you have to go scroll through all the presets to move around. I don’t see any way to search cloud presets and sort by likes, by date uploaded, number of downloads, etc. When the tuner is open it should show up on the app. It’s useless to allow _opening_ the tuner from the app, but still have to walk over to the amp to see it.

I just bought this amp for the third time because I thought the Bluetooth issue was fixed but it clearly is not because it cuts on and off and I have to constantly turn off the amp and restart it to get it to work and as soon as it does then it goes back out if I open another app to use with it. Also I don’t see anything different from 2021 2023 and now so where is the new voicing for the amps that supposed to be added in there and I’m on 3.109 version
  • Detail View

What happened to detail view? The 3 dots only allow "clear list". They do not provide detail view. Wanted to duplicate a preset but no detail view. :(
  • App Update is GARBAGE

When I first got my GTX50 amp this app was phenomenal. Every new song I would try to learn I was almost guaranteed to find a community made tone in the app. The user interface was fantastic and everything worked as it should. Now I can rarely find tones from before if at all, even for some of the most popular songs out there. The user interface is hot garbage and the landscape mode is a nightmare. Congratulations to the alchemists at Fender app development that took something that was solid gold and transmuted it into a steaming pile of ****. Give us the old app back PLEASE or fix this immediately I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re sick of this version.
  • Useless

Bluetooth on my phone will connect with the amp (Mustang GT 200) but the actual Fender Tone app can’t find it. Even when my Bluetooth says it’s connected. Also, the app description says I need to setup an account first, but it won’t let me. Tries and fails to connect to the amp when you first launch it, and that’s it. Just stalls there.
  • Put it back the way it was!

I use(d) this app on my iPhone. The app was once useable… Now all the sudden it only runs in landscape view which I absolutely HATE! And there is no option to change it in settings. I have such a hard time navigating the app now that it’s completely useless to me.

  • Landscape only on a phone? Really?

Great little app, except for the fact that it forces me to use my phone in landscape mode, which makes it very difficult to select tones one handed. Ridiculous to have to use two hands when you are wearing your guitar. People have been complaining about this on Reddit and calling fender for about 140 days now. Come on Fender step up.
