  • Great weather station and even better app

I have had the Tempest system since June, 2022. I am impressed with its accuracy and reliability. I can’t imagine ever changing especially since I now integrate my irrigation system with the Tempest. I highly recommend.

Perfect as perfect can be. Any issues people have is usually their phone settings or their ISP or other issues not related to developer… If it is five stars for most than those experiencing issues are beyond developers control.
  • App crashes

This app would be great and a 5 star if it wouldn’t crash. I love my Tempest Weather station. The app, however, not so much. Every time I try to open the app it immediately closes and I need to open it a second time. So 2 clicks every time. I use the map…try to zoom in and the app crashes. It’s not very stable.

Well, you guys ruined the watch complications. They no longer work.m since last two updates. Ugh. Widgets stopped working too Please add air quality and pollen.com alerts and resdings on to the app so I can get rid of these other crumby apps
  • Inaccurate

I have had the unit for about 3 years. Initially it seemed to work fine, but over the last few months o do not trust what it days. Maybe 60 degrees out side and the widget states is -10. Open the app and it may say 5 degrees. Usually worst in the evenings but during the daytime may occur also. Cleaned the unit, turned off and on, disconnected hub and reconnected. Still the same. Don’t know if this is a hardware or software issue. Back to Weatherbug.

very underwhelmed by the app and station. every time my computer or phone is shut down the app clears my login that I need to manually re-enter. Still has not shown rain and wind seems to be very far off actual.
  • Love my weather station, the watch app not so much

After years of use, my Tempest still works like its brand new. I couldn’t be happier with it. However, the Apple Watch app is problematic. Periodically, the complication stops showing on my watch face. While annoying, this can typically be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling it on the watch. After the update yesterday (2/27/25), the complication disappeared and all my usual tricks aren’t working. I can select the app from the watch menu but it won’t display on the face. I really hoping the Tempest team will address this issue soon.

Just got this. Setup was a breeze. Great support with some questions I reached out about when connecting the system to Rachio. So far very pleased. I will update this if anything changes.
  • Notifications not working

Love my tempest, however I’ve noticed that notifications don’t fire on any of my devices even though settings are set to allow this. Used to work on all of them last season, but now that lightning and rain have returned for this season, no alerts. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, but the notifications still don’t work.
  • I like it

I really like the device and the app. Although the app’s map display could use some refinement to make maps easier to read. It also would be nice to have a “conditions” watch face widget in the watch app similar to Apple weather. Siri and Apple Home integration would be great too along with reestablishing the Google Home interface.
