They take a decent chunk of the pot so even if you win you will get almost nothing. I completed a $50 and $20 group last week and got $70.77 back. Not worth the risk to win $0.77 while they took over $10k from the pot.
  • Unrealistic goals

Great app for inactive people. Active people have no chance because the goals based off of previous averages hold you to a high standard. I was competing with people that had half of what my daily goals were. I was hitting their goals before leaving the gym in the mornings. I had one day where I couldn’t meet the ridiculous goal, and lost. Just a dumb system

The payment system only benefits the developers, not the users. Stepbet takes the % cut from the overall pot instead of the pool of users who failed the competitions. This allows them to have a greater payout while the users take on all of the risk! Great concept to get people to move but really poor execution and a shady way to deceive users. Good luck, Stepbet!

I constantly have issues with the app not wanting to sync up and work. I get frustrated and have been limiting how many games I participate in through the app. I’ve started using other apps for gym challenges and step challenges at work to avoid getting frustrated.
  • Takes forever to sync!

This app takes forever to sync its steps. Sometimes I need a few extra steps at the end of the night- it is now 11pm and I’ve walked around my bedroom just to finish my day yet the stupid app won’t sync. I really wish someone would fix it, especially as a paying member of StepBet. What am I paying for if the darn app doesn’t work?

Step that was fun and motivated me to get my steps in every day I am very disappointed with the customer service. I had won my step bet and requested a payout.my request has had a pending status for over two months I have contacted customer service for an explanation and I have received no reply after multiple emails

First of all, the app doesn’t work well and it’s so hard to get it to synch. It usually takes 24 hours to update. 2nd of all, step bet took 90% of our winning prize and kept it for themselves!!! I should have received $6.50 and got $0.50. They say they take 15% which is not true, they take waaaay more than 15%. Scammers. I also noticed the prize pot went down 200 dollars about a week into the event I’m sure they thought we wouldn’t notice. Don’t use this app. S
