  • So many glitches

I was so excited about the app. I switched from Android to IPhone specifically for this app. But the app has so many glitches. It’s almost impossible to setup optimally. Show so many errors such as disconnected from iwatch. Stops recording randomly. For each of these problems there might be a solution or workaround. But I had to spend so much time to learn the workaround for each problem. The FAQ page on their website is ridiculous. It teaches you how to use these workarounds.

Without checking your play, it’s really difficult to improve. You can use camera app for recording, but checking on the recorded video takes time, and you may and up not reviewing at all. Using Swing Vision is very convenient and I can easily review my game.

I cannot even run this app on my M3 Mac, it continually crashes and I cannot make it past the welcome screens. I have tried restarting my laptop multiple times, it still crashes

The app itself is amazing, it allows me to track my shots, gives me insights on my shot placements, and helps me understand what I excel in and what I may need to work on. The AI shot tracking makes the app very convenient to use. However, the premium subscription seems a little excessive, with current rates of $179.99 per year or $14.99 a month for 3 months and then $29.99. I have the premium subscription, but without it, the app is basically a fancy recording app, since all the features this app is known for are only available with the subscription. I feel as if this could be better improved on, either with more affordable options (like a basic subscription), or more features at the free rate. Overall, I would give the app 3 stars because of this.

Amateur tennis player here… All around a fantastic app and super entertaining to watch footage along with metrics. Suggested feature: Ability to start new matches from your Apple watch without having to take the stick down and press start again. Otherwise, 5/5 for the tech and friendly UI.

I love this app. I bought an iPhone to be able to use it and it is well worth the expense and transition. I have recorded raw footage of local club matches for several years and posted on YouTube. Seeing yourself is instructive and humbling. This is a whole new level of sophistication. The condensing of footage is a time saver. The statistics and plots of shot locations is a great tool . I share the matches with teammates and opponents. I’m in a small tennis community so it will be interesting how it helps people raise their game. Seeing serve speed, serve locations, position of hitting forehands, backhands, errors, winners, etc are all valuable stats. I subscribe at the pro level and well worth the price.

I’m amazed at how much of the time the AI scoring is captured correctly. When it’s not however, I struggle to find the button for switching point winner when, for instance, the AI detects a second serve as well out but then awards the point to the server. Oddly, in this case after the 2nd serve was detected out, the point was awarded to the server, and the last shot was listed as ‘forehand winner’, which I assume was the returner hitting the long serve back to the server. When I entered the ‘edit point’ interface there was no button to switch the point winner, and all I could do was select a different reason for the server to win the point which they’d actually lost. Similarly, if it detects the wrong winner when that player had 40, I guess it views the rest of the points under that same server as a casual rally, and skips over them in the point by point. Even then, if I switch it to shot by shot, I still cannot scrub to those extra ‘rally’ exchanges to change them into actual points. The video just jumps to the next or previous exchanges that it interpreted as actual points. I did see an item in the 11.6 version patch notes that mentioned the switch point winner button no longer shows on unsupported sessions. Perhaps this is why the button is gone for editing? I just don’t know what an unsupported session means. Anyway, this is super cool, and the monthly option is obviously a great thing to have while the app is growing. If someone stops using it because a feature is still being improved, they properly do not have to invest their money during that period, which is terrific.
  • Difficult learning curve/no live support

Perhaps I will re-rate if I ever get this to work as advertised. It appears that it should, but I have yet to have a non problematic working session. The app is buggy and the usual “we are a small company and offer no human support. Fix it and support the product before you sell it! Not fair!
