Nixplay was at one time the best digital photo frame solution. We bought frames for friends and family. They have slowly removed features and locked them behind a subscription. It’s pretty disgusting. Avoid this company.
  • DO NOT USE

This company falsely advertised, for years, that you would be allowed unlimited cloud storage for your photos. Now they want $30-$50 a year to use the storage that they advertised to be free. This app and company is garbage. Avoid at all costs.
  • Predatory - bad company

Bought the frame after doing my research on others and enjoyed that there was no subscription costs. Fast forward 9 months later and the company announces that they are moving to a subscription model and you’ll need to pay for over a certain amount of storage. Had I known this I would have selected a different model frame. Bad business

After spending hundreds buying these frames for friends and family, they are now changing the key seeking feature and requiring a monthly payment to display all the photos we have uploaded. BAD BUSINESS

Contacted Nixplay, my frame would not release from an account. Maris responded and solved my problem, my frame works great now. Great service.

Initially had trouble getting my new frame to display my photos, but Martin quickly helped me fix the problem. I find the phone app easier to use than the website.
  • Scam

This app and their frames have become an actual scam. They initially promised unlimited photo storage for your frames and now have the audacity to require an insane paid subscription service to be able to keep using those photos unless you want to delete all but a tiny amount. Insane levels of greed and lying to customers.
  • Unacceptable Changes – Demand for Fairness and Grandfathering

Attention: Mark Palfreeman - Nixplay CEO, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration over Nixplay’s decision to force existing customers into a subscription-based model. The way this transition has been handled is not just unfair but a blatant example of profiteering at the expense of loyal users who purchased your products under entirely different terms. We purchased three Nixplayers precisely because they came with unlimited storage, a key selling point that justified our investment. We are not heavy users, and yet we are now being told that we must either pay up or have our content restricted. Your so-called “free” option is laughably stingy, punishing all users instead of targeting those who actually overburden the system. Instead of implementing reasonable limits for excessive users, you’ve opted for a cash grab that forces everyone to subscribe. Your justification—reducing Nixplay Plus from $49.99 to $39.99—is an insult. You are not doing customers a favor by slightly lowering an unnecessary fee that you have just invented. This isn't a generous offer; it's a ransom note for features that were already included in our original purchase. If you truly believed in fairness, you would grandfather existing users who purchased under the promise of unlimited storage. The argument that this shift is needed for sustainability doesn't hold up. If this were truly about costs, the logical step would be limiting only excessive users—not kneecapping every single customer who believed in your brand. Instead, this move screams of corporate greed, prioritizing subscriptions over customer loyalty. I can confidently say that Nixplay has gone from one of my favorite companies to one I will never recommend again if these changes are not addressed. This will not go down easily—you are alienating your most loyal customers. The solution is simple: Grandfather in all existing customers who purchased under the previous unlimited model. If limits must exist, they should only target excessive users, not everyone. Honor the value proposition that your customers originally paid for. Until these issues are properly addressed, I will be actively discouraging others from investing in a company that retroactively devalues its own products. It’s not too late to fix this mistake—but if you continue down this path, you will lose the very community that made Nixplay successful in the first place. Looking forward to your response and a meaningful resolution.

Thank you Joe for your help in resolving what I was doing wrong. I really appreciated you explaining how to operate my new frame. It is the best digital picture frame I have used. Picture clarity is next level. Love it.
  • Frame wont connect

There’s no way to get help in the app to connect frame to the wifi. I can’t update my frame because it won’t connect. We did all troubleshooting methods. These frames should just be bricks.
