  • Really slow, locks up

Frequently stops responding, locks up. Can't actually play a slideshow for this reason. Could be poor error handling, could be poor memory management. If you have a blazing computer, you might be fine.

This little app does an AWESOME job on contact sheets. A hierarchy of folders with several dozen pictures, all came out in a beautiful PDF under folder headers, with full filenames (even long ones), and excellent resolution for zoomability (without the excessive file size). This is the kind of app I'd be happy to pay for, not that crap that is being sold for way too much. Too bad it is free and doesn't have advertising inside. Programmers like this should be paid the big bucks. And yes, the age rating is exactly right. Even my 4 year old would be able to use it, just not on my porn collection :).

thanks so much for the quick fix to the create date when compressing jpgs. I've got 100s of photo folders to go thru now... after a backup...

I was able to load over 6000 images from several subdirectories in only a couple clicks (and it only took a few minutes to load them all) and have easy control over their display as a slideshow. Also this is the only free app I have found that offers a shuffle option (preview could not do that, which is the main reason I went searching for an app like this). Excellent.

I used to use a contact sheet plugin for Photoshop, and I've messed around with Autmomator to generate them. This app is by far the fastest and easiest method I've tried. Very satisfied!

The addition of the TRASH icon is nice, but it would be great to also add right click and keyboard delete (w/dialog prompt) support for deleting unwanted images. I do like that COMMAND+DELETE works! The “Refresh” button is actually a COMPRESS button! It does warn you, but the icon is all wrong - it should show a vise or lemon squeezer to show you are compressing the image. It does need an option to preserve original. When I clicked it you can’t tell if it swapped out the original with the compressed version or did nothing. No real feedback unless you go look at file sizes in the finder I guess. During slideshow it would be nice if the right and left arrows advanced like the up and down arrows do. Bugs: - Loads PNG with transparency images, but the transparent part shows a garbled mess of whatever the last image in the preview was. - Same with PNG’s with transparency in slideshows, but at least the background previous image isn’t scrambled. I guess you could call it a feature if you were doing titles over images.

It does exactly what it says it will do. Much easier than the Preview app in OS X. It is an app that I would pay for if there were any additional functions for an image besides Trash. It won’t even let you drag a file out to the desktop. That would be a great feature to add so that we could grab the best images from our folders and them put them into a new one on the desktop.
