    Why did they change it? Now I have to sit for a full 45 seconds of a screen of a manga I don’t want until the app actually opens and everything is jumbled around and difficult to find. Why change a good thing? If you wanted to change it make more cost efficient ways for people to read versus taking a perfect app and layout and the worst app and layout. This is going backwards at an exponential rate.

    Webtoon should go back to their old coin promos instead of using app tracking games. They are hit or miss and when they miss they try everything to get out of paying. Once it skipped rewarding me for a lower level achievement I had surpassed and had been rewarded for higher levels. They said I hadn’t fulfilled the requirements and couldn’t explain why when 15 is less than 40. Now they claim I’m not getting rewarded for using VPN or proxy manipulators which I don’t know how to do. It’s the most ludicrous lies. Reading on webtoon is alright. The new dollar heart gets in the way and there are huge ads that are hard not to click when scrolling. Update Nov 6, 2024. Webtoon came up with another reason not to pay coins on the higher level of the same app. When you go to rate their “support” it says you can’t because the ticket is closed. 😐 May 18, 2025 Lots of layout changes so I’ve lost which series are updated. I’ve tried for a while before adding to the review. I still don’t like it and poke around before giving up. “New and hot” is LOUD. PLEASE MUTE!!! I looked in settings but can’t turn the video and sound off.

  • Playing games for coins is a scam

    I played a game (3 Tiles) for coins for WEEKS to reach 1500 levels, wasted hours and hours of my time, only to be denied the 700 coins for my participation after having no issues to get coins up to 800 levels and given no reason that makes sense. What a scam to force you to participate and watch hours of ads in these dumb games for NOTHING!!!!

    I have been an active user of WEBTOON for years, including currently having a subscription to get coins every month. But MY GOOD, this new update that change the layout is HORRIBLE. It’s much more difficult to decipher which of my series have updates on the home page, and the recommendation scroll at the top? Just gone. You literally set up a new tab like TikTok instead and got rid of the original formatting. I wouldn’t have even minded the video ads so much if you had just kept your original homepage layout!!!! Incredibly disappointed, and would love to put my review at 5 stars if we can get the Home Screen layout fixed back to what it was.

  • Overcharged and not getting responses

    I keep getting overcharged for the coins I’m buying, I contacted support twice and they’re not responding. I tried buying the 4.99, 50+2, pack and got charged 13.98 although it didn’t go through. However, I later decided to get 9.99 and it charged 13.98 and went through. I want my money back, plus I didn’t even get the coins. I’ve tried to find out if the 13.98 charge was like an add on that I got from a bundle I bought, but nothing has showed up. Webtoon, if you see this, count your days. (jk just give me money back and an explanation) GREAT APP THOUGH!!, just need quicker support or something saying like “oh it’ll take 1-3 days for our support to get back to you”

    This is the first ever review Ive left & I’ve been a webtoon user ever since I could remember. What’s with the random log outs? It makes me always log back in & I’d lose my webtoons that I’ve been reading, very inconvenient for me since I’m an avid reader. This really disappoints me because even my coins or purchases will be gone what’s up webtoon? Go back to where it’d be Monday, Tuesday & etc for the week the webtoons will be updated found that very convenient!

    I love this app for a lot of reasons but one complaint I have has to be when you finish a comic and whether you’ve done the time and waited for all the episodes to be out and maybe paid with coins once you’ve finished it it’s like you’ve got to go through the journey all over again. There’s plenty of great series i’d love to read again but the unlock with 99 coins the whole thing or pay coins per episode or watch an add to unlock is annoying. If i’ve taken the time to read a series from the beginning to end i should be able to have free access to it right? Maybe I’m wrong because then that’d be unfair to the creators but i really feel there should be at least something for completion of a series.
