With high-end tools, and a beautiful interface designed from scratch for the latest iPhones and inspired by the controls of professional cameras, Halide is your go-to camera when you want to really take a photo rather than a quick snapshot. Use gestures in Halide to change exposure and manual focus with a swipe, or switch from its powerful automatic mode to manual shooting. • Pointless App (charged me too!)

This app is nearly pointless. It offers almost nothing over the default iPhone camera app. It’s slow, it’s clunky, it crashes on my 15PM frequently. I downloaded this to use the free trial AND IT CHARGED ME. I was a professional photographer for 15 years and I can honestly say the singular reason this app could be useful is the manual focus. Every single other aspect of photography the default iPhone camera all blows this away. I honestly have no idea how they think that this is worth $20 a year.

Hard to describe in words - a very artistic camera experience
  • The transactions are unfair at this point (dev: you better read this because im not playing around).

Alright so, i was very excited to use the app but it instantly asks to pay to continue to app… is this how the app stores gonna allow this?! Just because it is a key source of revenue for both developers like you and themselves?! That is not that works! Do not listen to the app store developers! Transactions like this should just not live forever. If you really want to make money while free users can enjoy the app, why not let that app free while that subscription stays as cool perks. You should really update to this type of transactions. Please…😡
  • What a waste of time and my money

I purchased this after reading a New Yorker article about how truer a picture it gave you compared to an iPhone camera that fixes up a photo so it is not quite what you wanted to capture. But this app is so non-intuitive and its “lessons” so unhelpful that I’m sorry I gifted it $14.99.
  • Deceptive Free Trial

I signed up for the 1-week free trial on an annual subscription. I immediately went into my Apple ID subscription settings and canceled the renewal on the subscription. For every other app, this cancels the subscription at the end of the free trial period. For THIS app, it sets the cancellation date to 1 year, and I was still charged at the end of the 1-week trial. This seems deceptive and intentional. It seems it is not possible to cancel your trial period from the Apple subscriptions menu, which I do not believe should be allowed by the App Store. I am very frustrated and I feel fleeced by the makers of this app.
  • Excellent app, but the zoom option needs to be improved

Hi all, I was using this app some days ago, and it is excellent if you need to shoot small pieces. It works great with good details in the photos. My unique problem is that the zoom can be improved like the Apple camera, where you can move the zoom without selecting a specific value. I hope they can add that option soon because I don't like how the zoom works here using particular values such as points five, one, two, three, or five. I prefer the way Apple designed its camera app.
  • Great app

This app is great. My only issue is with Apple and them not allowing 3rd party websites to use the 48MP raw sensor data.

Has free download with “in app purchases” but whaddya know, everything costs money besides trial. Waaaaay tooo hiiiigh a price and stole my precious time. Poor and selfish marketing. Deleted and forgotten for abject lamery.
  • Outrageous price

One-time purchase price is outrageous. Otherwise it’s annual subscription. Removed without even bothering to know what it does.
