  • Not quite usable

There are a couple of issues that make this unusable for me. First of all, I want to use this with my Apple Watch. And while there is an Apple Watch app, there is no complication available, and every time I want to check where I am at on the countdown I have to find the app and open it. A complication would make this much more accessible. Secondly, while I like that my phone shows me the countdown on my phone face without having to turn it on, most of the time it is inaccurate and just says zero and I have to open my phone to see the actual time. Opening my phone, usually fixes the issue on my phone face and it returns to the correct countdown time, but that is only temporary and then it goes back to zero. Being able to effortlessly track where I am at in my time, without having to take extra steps to do so is very important to me.

Is there a way to set weekly goals for tasks? I see the weekly data can be viewed, but looking for a task like 3 hours a week of studying. Clocking a round on different days and tracking the weekly total?
  • Last few updates have changed the app too much

I have been using focus keeper for years with minimal changes to the app but in the last few weeks, multiple updates have made the app no longer work as it should. The focus sessions no longer count down, instead count up, and no 25 minute break is offered. It can’t really be considered a pomodoro technique without the 25 minute break

  • Good app but bugs are an issue

This has been my favorite app for the Pomodoro app. However, bug issues occur more frequently than I would like. Currently, the app is no longer giving the 25 minute longer break period as it did just last week. Would love to have this fixed as this is app is how I outline my work day and that longer break is important
  • Wow - crashiest app ever! =(

Updates have been releasing every other day on average, but it still keeps crashing. I was refunded my money because of unreliability AND lack of response from developers tech support. Great concept; poor execution. If they ever get it together I might come back.

3/14/25: I was going through my iCloud storage and noticed a suspicious app named baby story: pregnancy pictures using storage in my iCloud and storing photos. I have never downloaded this app. However, the developer of baby story: pregnancy pictures also developed Focus Keeper, which I have used. There is no evidence that I intentionally downloaded the app and it doesn’t show in my download history in App Store. The only way that that it could’ve downloaded to my phone is if it piggybacked on the Focus Keeper app. You’ve been warned!
  • Useful, but recent updates make it worse

I’ve used and appreciated this app for over a year and it has really made a difference. However, I became very used to its system of numbering focus sessions. I track how many I’ve done on a white board, and the numbering system on the app allowed me to double check that I was in the right place with it. In an update maybe a month ago, they changed how these numbers worked, so that they no longer reset after two tomatoes, with no setting option to keep it with the old numbering. This wasn’t the end of the world, as I could just reset it myself every two hours. However, the most recent update removes the numbers completely, and I can find no way to get them back. It replaces them with little visual tomatoes instead, which I can’t tell if they indicate halves at all or not. Either way, I and others would really appreciate a toggleable option to use the legacy numbering system. I know this is a small thing, but I think it’s the kind of thing that can have a big impact on specifically the groups of people who find this app most useful. I hope this is seen and I want to add that I’m very appreciative the app has as much functionality as it does even on the free tier!!
