  • Better than Google!

No advertisments like Google, very accurate!!!
  • Needs better mapping capabilities

Perplexity is a nice alternative to Google but any geospatial (mapping) related search falls short of expectations. Apple Maps is displayed on a Mac/iPhone and then if you click to get more information on a place, you are given driving directions in Gmaps from where you are located. And not to the place but the address.
  • "Ask a Follow Up Question" box blocking text

So annoying. And I cant seem to get rid of it. When I open settings, I can't see the options. I guess I'll continue using the browser-based version. Bummer.
  • Cannot sign in despite paying for Pro

What is the point of a Pro subscription if it does not allow you the subscriber to log in? I wish I could give it negative stars. Just use phospho.ai, which is more or less the same, free, and actually lets you log in.
  • Terrible user interface.

On Apple or PC, answers are covered by the question box. Terrible user interface. Difficult to log into the paid version. I am sorry I subscribed good as it is from a utility standpoint. Seriously they need to examine the basics.
  • More reserach in 3 days than in the last 3 years!

I like to say that at 82, I am a 30 year old with 52 years of experience! No kidding when I say that I have done more actual scientific rsearch on a new composition of matter I pateneted recently that I ever did in the three years before I discovered Perplexity AI! I like Perplexity because oit shows the references it uses to deterimne the answers. Of course, proper prompting helps, but that can be said of anything. Thank you for this remarkable productivity tool.
  • Voice Feature Not Working

I love perplexity but… the voice feature is not working properly and there are no settings for audio to resolve any potential issues unique to peoples’ setups. I love the voice feature so much that the app seems severely impaired without it.
  • love the sources

It's great to know exactly where your information came from. It gets the context of my text requests very well and returns results that are concise and on point (whereas other GPTs can be redundant and bloated).
