Description

Our memories often exist only in old photographs. But what if we could bring these old photos to life and see what our loved ones might look like if they were still with us? Now, this is possible with AI technology and the Pixly app! Live Photos AI analyzes the uploaded image and attempts to bring the people in the photo to life, giving them realistic movements, facial expressions, and gestures. The result can be stunning, especially if you’ve never seen the person from the photo in real life. Now you can imagine how they might have smiled or moved. This effect is reminiscent of the awe that cinema evoked when it was first invented. Special effects Cool transformation effects are now available to you in Pixly! Try them on various objects - all you need to do is upload a photo from your gallery with a transparent object or person, then apply one of the effects. Watch as the person in the photo turns into a superhero, and objects explode, melt, crush, turn into cakes, inflate or flatten, creating a completely new visual experience! Photoshoot for your car Do a photoshoot for your car like a professional! Upload a photo of your car, edit it, and get a professional-grade photoshoot in any location worldwide. You can choose a background for your car photos: a scorching desert, a sunny coastline, a bustling neon-lit night city, or a winding mountain road. AI Dance Make your photo dance. This feature is a lot of fun. Simply select one of your pictures, and artificial intelligence will animate it, making it look like you are moving to popular tunes. With the app, you can create multiple projects with different photos. Save them or share them with friends. Follow the instructions to achieve the perfect result! To access all features and unlock the full potential of AI-powered content creation, an active subscription to Pixly is required. Pics don’t look like that person when live. You are limited to amount of pictures mages you change and then they want more money.

The app costs $8 per week but does not clarify you can only work on 5 photos for that week. Then boom they’re charging more money so you can keep using the app for the rest of the week you just purchased. Also- ewww- the photos get changed dramatically in the process, some becoming unrecognizable. This AI thing still needs a lot of work but it’s cool.
  • Super cool idea - but doesn’t work yet

Tried this out with two old photos. Apparently, my grandmother wears heavy make up and has a nose piercing and my great grandmother is hugging Jesus. The regenerate function provided the same results. Wonderful idea and concept - would LOVE to see it work but it’s not there yet. Enjoy your old black and white photos.

No support or tutorial. Each re-imaging takes “gold coins” which yields 5 projects per week—with no redos, but you can buy more coins at an outrageous price. My first three attempts ended up being “Jesus” animation using vintage pictures. I didn’t want “Jesus” pictures, but if you don’t specify that’s what the app selects for you. Finally, the AI re-imaging generated a face dissimilar to the original.

Pay for the yearly subscription and you only get a certain amount of photos you can do within that year before you have to pay more. So I said ok fine I will use it since they will not refund your money. I’ve done 3 photos and all three have been horribly done. Oh and if you want to redo that photo that takes away from your yearly limit. I’ve not liked anything about this app. Buyer beware.

I signed up for the retro feature which looked beautiful in the examples. After a few hours of trying it out, my results were horrendous. 3 of 4 photos did not look anything like the people in the original photos. One of my mother holding me as a baby had another baby growing out of her blouse sleeve - it was like a horror movie!!! Immediately I wrote to get my money back. Crickets. I’ve written 2 times since and still have had no response. So, its not only a terrible product, but their business practices are suspect with misadvertising and not caring about customer satosfaction.

The ads were impressive. However, the AI generated pictures were less than 5 seconds run time. There is no control on what the AI will do with the picture. One example, instead of colorizing an old photo, it kept it blank and white and just zoomed in and out. Another example, a standing figure walked toward but lopped off the head and part of the body. Was expecting way more. Not worth the money.
