IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have a Wi-Fi ELM327 compatible adapter or compatible Bluetooth LE adapter such as Veepeak BLE/BLE+ 4.0 adapter, Carista BLE adapter, OBDLink MX+, OBDLink CX, Tonwon BLE adapter, LELink BLE adapter, Viecar BLE adapter, Lonauto adapter, Vgate iCar Bluetooth 4.0, BAST BLE adapter, Kiwi 3/4 to use this app. OBD Fusion is not compatible with generic ELM Bluetooth scan tools. Checkout additional adapters here: https://www.obdsoftware.net/software/obdfusion OBD Fusion supports all OBD2 and EOBD vehicles sold worldwide. If you're not sure whether your vehicle is OBD2 or EOBD compliant, see this page for more information: https://www.obdsoftware.net/support/knowledge-base/how-do-i-know-whether-my-vehicle-is-obd-ii-compliant/. OBD Fusion can also connect to some JOBD vehicles that don’t support standard OBD2 protocols. Electric vehicles (EVs) are not required to have OBD2 diagnostics since they are emissions exempt. If you are interested in using OBD Fusion on an EV, contact us first to inquire about support. OBD Fusion has a ton of features including: - Read and clear emissions-related trouble codes (fault codes) and your Check Engine Light (MIL)
 - View vital driving information on your CarPlay screen. Note that real-time gauges are not supported by CarPlay, so you can't view your OBD Fusion pages such as dashboards on CarPlay. - With optional enhanced diagnostic add-ons, you can read and clear enhanced trouble codes on other modules such as ABS, SRS, etc. and read transmission temperature. An enhanced diagnostic add-on is required for this functionality. - Real-time dashboard display with fully customizable gauges. Create your own dashboards with the gauges that you want to see. - Performance calculations for 1/4 mile and 0-60 mph track times - Fuel economy MPG (US and UK), l/100km or km/l calculation - Full diagnostic report that can be stored and shared - Real-time graphing of multiple signals - Multiple trip meters
 - Log data to CSV file - Create custom enhanced PIDs - Includes some built-in enhanced PIDs for Ford and GM vehicles - Display Boost pressure in real-time - Display Engine Power and Torque - Display calculated Air-to-fuel ratio - Display battery voltage
 - Read freeze frame data
 - Fully customizable units including English, Imperial, and Metric units
 - Over 150 supported PIDs
 - Display vehicle information including VIN and calibration ID
 - Emissions readiness for each US state. Find out if your car will pass emissions inspection. - Oxygen Sensor Results (Mode 05)
 - On-board Monitoring Tests (Mode 06)

  • Useful for scanning codes and readyness tests, that’s about it

Been using this app for a few months, while the convenience of being able to check codes immediately on the fly is great, the logging feature is suboptimal with pid poling every 3-4 seconds. Checking fuel trims, maf or o2 sensor voltages is useless and I find myself having to grab a normal scanner as a result. Even with minimal pids selected there is no change to the rate. I really wanted to love this app but for the money for both the Bluetooth dongle and app, better off just getting a decent scanner instead.

  • Won’t connect, very limited customer support

Tried connecting to a supported OBD reader and this app wouldn’t connect. Customer support was decent at first but are just following a script. Once we got to the end of the script no further communication Very disappointed
  • Best ODB Reader

By far the best practical ODB reader out there. This app is a MUST for 2007 - 2012 MINI Cooper owners to monitor the engine temps as the car didn’t come with a temp gauge on the dash. I have one in all my minis (3). Vital. The update is a welcome refresh of the app. I just have a few complaints. I monitor my engine constantly when I drive. I have an old iPhone mounted on my dash that it’s only job is to connect to the BLE device and report engine status. 1. When I stop for gas I want the ability to leave the app running, stop the car, fill up, start the car and the app will reconnect. It currently does not do this. I’m not sure what is happening but I must close the app completely and relaunch for it to reconnect properly. 2. If I minimize the app and stop the motor, then restart it will reconnect but there’s a message that it’s recounting (button cancel) in the middle of the screen. You can clearly see the app has reconnected and it’s reporting data. I simply tap cancel and I’m on my way. Little bit of a pain. 3. Suppress the connection messages. That used to be part of the old app, but since the refresh I have to watch it go through all the protocols until it’s connected. Not a show stopper but could be cleaned up. I just want to launch the app and see the connect button at the bottom change to connected and start reporting data. 3. Save config settings. I would like the ability to export out my dashboard configuration and upload it to a new device. Like I said earlier I have 3 minis running this app and would like the dashboards all the same. I know I could go in and make them all the same manually but if you’ve ever been in the dash configuration menu you’ll know it can be clunky to do this. I would love the ability to make one dash the way I want and then clone it to the others. That’s it, great app, use it everyday when I drive without fail.

  • Not worth the money

I purchased OBD Fusion and the Ford enhanced diagnostics based on the developers claim of supporting and displaying mode $06 data. Don’t waste your money if you expect to get a full view of all the $06 data. The app only shows one or two PIDs and lists as ‘manufacturer defined’. Nothing else. A full hex listing would be easy to do. The Ford enhanced diagnostics for my 1996 model are not complete either. I have the OEM PCM manuals to cross reference and many are missing from the app. The 14.99 up charge for this data is a rip off. A simple example is the cylinder misfire counts. My vehicle has 8 cylinders yet OBDfusion lists only cylinder 1-6 misfire count as available PIDs. Unbelievable. The vehicle data shows 8 cylinders right on the app so they know what should be there. Learn from my mistake and spend the money to get a pro scan tool that actually shows the data.
  • Basic menus on CarPlay

In reality when you use it in CarPlay just a few lines show up. No dashboards or gages. Would. It have purchased if that was disclosed.
  • Screens are convoluted and not easy to use

Wanted to do live data on O2 sensors which car scanner does and easily but I did not love the graph, saw different graph setups on the App Store page for this and downloaded this, waste of time and money, have added all my stuff to log which took forever to find and none of it shows up anywhere, hope I can get a refund, am using iPhone 12 Pro Max on latest software update , messing with these silly Bluetooth apps totally makes me think buying a dedicated scanner is the way to go, all of this is a waste of time, my scanners are all much more usable, but this app is very convoluted compared to car scanner
