  • Crazy expensive & bad experience

If I’m expected to pay $3 a month I want the app to be flawless. The overall experience is subpar and search capabilities have to be an exact match, could t even search for Blanton’s. I’ll stick with BoozeApp and although the user experience isn’t flawless, it’s free and they continue to improve on it.

App look and feel is warm/polished and very functional. THE "Bourbon Blue Book"... It is the most accurate and thorough bourbon price guide I've come across. I use it often to make sure I'm not overpaying for new releases, especially when I spot something new on the fly. Articles/Interviews on the Bourbon Blog are timely, relevant and educational. Blog keeps me informed of what's dropping and when. Used to be free, but like everything else these days you have to pay for premium content. For those serious about Bourbon, this is premium content.

Good app but not worth the pricing, greed has overcome us
  • What a letdown

I must echo nearly every other review here, this stinks. Paywalled app masquerading as a free app is lame in the first place, but to go from a free website to $3/mo or $25/year for your app is insane. I am sorry, but I don’t wish for this to succeed. Cash grabs are lame and that’s what this app is.

I see lots of reviews complaining about the Bourbon Blue Book going to a subscription, but it’s 100% worth the pennies a day it costs. Hands down the best bourbon pricing anywhere, AND the other features are icing on the cake. Bourboneur has been solid since day 1 and I use this for all my bourbon purchases.

If you’re gonna charge for your app, put it upfront don’t make it look like a free app and when you go through the whole registration and login it makes you pay

Changed my review because I was able to pay through Apple Pay subscription so I didn’t have to give my credit card information. Trying the three dollars a month and I like what I see so far. I have no problem with this business model.

Don’t waste your time downloading this app. You’re immediately required to sign up for a paid subscription. I wouldn’t mind a one-time fee to support the dev costs, but $3/mo? Are you kidding me?
