  • Awesome concept, also inaccurate

The app concept is cool. Some things are pretty accurate but most of the results I was receiving were quite a bit wrong. Some not even remotely close. Seems like it’s ready for beta and not yet ready for prime time SAAS model to charge customers for this. Also, everyone I spoke to received a different annual price. Why is this? My wife, friend, and I signed up at the exact same time and I had to pay double my wife and my wife paid triple of our friend.
  • 3 day free trial?

There is no possible way I can rate this app based off its user-friendly, fancy-looking introduction demo. I knew after downloading this app there would be some sort of subscription — because that’s how it is now-a-days with apps like these — but, I thought at least the developers would give their users more time to see if they actually are losing weight with the app. 3 days? How am I supposed to tell if this app is helping me lose weight in 3 days? Ever heard of a 14 day trial? If it’s going to take me 5 months to lose 20 pounds, and your app is as prestigious as you make it seem, isn’t there some sort of “money-back garuntee” that most business’s offer when they sell products? It should be the same with this app. Yes, I understand there is money to be made and I do not mind paying it — once I see if it’s worth it or not — but on the other hand, a 3 day free trial, for an app like this, is pointless because no human being on earth can lose [20 pounds] in 3 days. Now, if the app included exercise and fitness workouts, then yes, that’s something I would buy up-front. But I’m sorry, there’s no possible way of knowing that this app is worth it unless I see results.

  • Very solid overall calorie tracking app

Would really like the app to add micros and nutrients beyond just protein, carbs and fats. Especially if I’m scanning bar codes/nutrition labels. For example, I’ve recently been trying to increase fiber intake so it would be nice to track that in the app. For the weight options, would be nice for that to be in decimals. Love how the app looks, very clean and simple aesthetic and the new widgets are really nice. Also compared to the paid options for other calorie tracking apps, this is a good deal and worth the price!
  • Changed my account a day early of trial ending

So I paid 29.99 for a year access but it asks for me to subscribe every time I log on. I paid, why are you asking for payment again? JUNK

This is a solid app. As far as my reasons for downloading it, counting my calories has always given me stress & as a college student I don’t have time in my day to sit down & track my food. (I barely have time to make my food if I’m being honest). I’ve gained some weight and I wanted to focus on calorie deficit with a high protein diet. This app is good because it tracks your macros & you can take pictures of your food & it gives you a pretty good estimate. I would say it’s fairly accurate, just make sure you get the whole dish in the picture. One thing that does bug me is I am a pretty active person & I don’t think my calories burned are considered into the calorie counter bar at the top. This is super important as I don’t want to be undereating. This is only my first day using it so I’ll see how tomorrow goes & decide if I want to continue with a subscription. This is a really good app concept that will help a lot of people & I think with some fine tuning from the app developers will really make this a great app

i use cal AI almost everyday, i just wish there was a option you could log your food into breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and i wish the food scanner was more accurate

I like the app a lot. Recently i’ve been experiencing lots of bugs like my steps not being counted and my pictures not processing. It’s something that really needs to be fixed, especially since this app is subscription based.
  • Don’t use if you care about nutrition accuracy

This is just another GPT wrapper app where it sends your photo to ChatGPT and hopes for the best. The results are totally unreliable and lack transparency. If accurate nutrition tracking matters to you, then this app isn’t for you.
